This is a heavy-duty stainless steel CBT device that is perforated with 28 holes through which adjustable screw points can be threaded to put the pressure on your sub. The sturdy construction means that this ring offers no quarter to your flesh. The lightly pointed ends of the screws press in on their package to really drive your point home. The points are fully adjustable with the included hex key: start with them withdrawn all the way, then put the spikes to work as you begin to tighten them up. They can even be removed entirely and becomes a smooth steel cock ring or ball stretcher. Measurements: Ring has 1.83 inch inner diameter, 1.55 inch wide band, screw points can be adjusted to protrude up to 0.48 inches into interior of ring. Material: Stainless Steel. Good quality but not as pictured

This piece is good quality and it offers the ability to adjust each spike -- but it is not as pictured (which is why I'm giving it 3 stars). If you look closely, the picture shows that the tips are blunted. In reality, they are NOT. (It also does not come with a lock.) This piece is no different than other similar devices in that they come to a sharp point. So, if you were looking at this thinking it might be a nice step *before* the device with the sharp teeth, that is not what this is. It is good for people with variable penis girths, though. At its default setting of all screws flush on the outside of the ring, it has a space of about 7/8" internal diameter; making it ready to go for people larger than that. How much larger will depend on how much you want it to bite into your dick. If you were to go to the painstaking trouble of adjusting each of the screws inward, it could probably bite into a dick about 3/4" in diameter. At its widest, I would say about 2 1/4" in diameter.

Hurts perfectly

The spikes on this ring are pretty sharp and cause a decent amount of pain as you become erect, but aren't sharp enough to break the skin. You can adjust how deep the spikes go so you can get a perfect fit with just the right amount of pain. The fact that it locks makes it all the better! Once locked on, you can't remove it without scraping the sharp spikes along the whole shaft of your cock, which seems like it would hurt quite a bit.
