Fits My Mauviel Better Than Universal Lid
My pots and pans were gifted to me second hand and did not have the lids. I tried two different "universal lids", but one didn't seal well enough and the other sat on top and wasn't effective. These lids, though a bit pricey, are the best option.

Nowadays I can't cook without this.(I'm Korean and used this from last december in 2013.)
I took two stars out because of easy red-hot handle. This item cut down my expenses like gas, saved time and improved tastes. I expect the updated lid soon for my lovely fingers. *^^*

Great pan
I bought the M'Cook pan on eBay from another seller and needed the lid. I'm glad I bought it, because it makes the pan more versatile.

Pretty dysfunctional
Can I trade these lids in for any other kind of lid? Please! These are the lids that come on the set I bought and I hate them. I love the pots and pans Mauviel M'Cook - 9 Piece Set - (5210.15, 5210.19, 5213.26, 5211.25, 5231.25) but these lids suck. They don't fit the diameter of the pots or pans and the handles appear to be designed for miniature hands. They get super hot and are too small to grasp with an oven mitt. I can't believe Mauviel actually sells these lids with the high quality cookware they are famous for. These lids are pretty to look at but highly dysfunctional.

Beware hazardous unfinished edges!
This is a brilliant lid -- if you have the pan that requires it, nothing else will do. HOWEVER: You'll be buying this because you want the finest, heirloom quality -- no compromise. Therefore: when it arrives -- check it thoroughly, particularly around the edges. I bought one in August 2017, and couldn't work out why (in February 2018) we'd been going through so many washing-up gloves. Today I discovered the answer. The edge of this lid was extremely badly finished on perhaps 10cm of its circumference, with a razor-sharp 'burr' remaining from the stamping process, and the resulting "cutting edge" facing downwards. If I'd actually run my finger round the edge, It would have resulted in a nasty cut such as you'd expect from a freshly-sharpened cooks' knife. Some of the burr was beginning to splinter off, and stainless steel splinters are non-trivial. I escaped injury, and because I know how to use a file, I can deal with this -- but for this money, from this manufacturer, I really shouldn't have to. See pics if this is at all unclear. Moral: Amazon provide no clear way to let them know about this sort of thing, and obviously I'm way past return date (If I'd wanted to return it). But others should know. So CHECK YOUR LIDS when they arrive.

Good quality item
Suitable for Lamina Saucier pan by James Martin. This lid makes a good pan even better and is recommended. However, the handle can get so hot that an oven glove is needed to remove the lid from the pan. The handle design could be revised: 1. The footprints could be reduced (whilst maintaining positive structural contact with the lid) to minimise conduction of heat from the lid to the handle. 2. Slim the two (semi) vertical portions to reduce heat transfer. 3. The U-shaped horizontal portion could be minimally thinned, but this is already near optimal. 4. Generally, increase the surface area to encourage convectional cooling (apart from the contact with the lid, where heat can be conducted), and reduce the bulk of metal to reduce heat conduction and storage. So, fairly good design - but the designers need to bear in mind the practical aspects of using this item and make a more positive attempt to keep the handle as cool as possible.

Good quality.
Bought this for use with Mauviel's 24cm chefs pan and 24cm frying pan. Very useful and no drips over the side of the pans when simmering. Recommended.

Perfect accompaniment for the sauté pan.
Had to buy the lid having spent a small fortune on the sauté pan. Thoroughly justified though.
