Fragile equipment for $500+ price tag.
HCT-900-11 is above average Hot Air Rework Station. However, be careful not to drop that handle to the floor. Smallest impact causes internal ceramic material to break apart and unit is dead - see attached picture. -Yes, again I’m deliberating whether or not to spend another $50+ USD on replacement P/N: HCT-HE-11.

Metcal
Metcal was not bought out by OKI. OKI merged with Metcal and all labeling has been rebranded for over 2 years to Metcal. Metcal is a Dover company.

Expensive yes, but unsurpassed build quality.
All of the other hot air reworks stations seem to be the same copy/paste Chinesium designs with a smash my face against the keyboard company name. I choose to invest my dollars in a company that makes the absolute best of the best. With that said the HCT-900-11 is really overkill for a Dad just trying to fix his kids Nintendo. I still don't regret my purchase though.
