Inconsistent

Sometimes it works well sometimes it doesn’t. Don’t know why!

THE BLACK CAR PICTURED WAS NOT INCLUDED!

"MOVIE CAR CHASE" as described both in the add and on the actual product box. The likeness of the Mad Max (copyright infringement) movie car was not actually in the set. Blatant copyright infringement against LEGO brand for the base and accessories included with a "construction block compatible" notice on the box. The cars that were included were loose and unwrapped inside the box with the bodies removed from the chassis. With the way that everything else was bagged up and arranged in the box, this was no accident. Slot cars notoriously need tinkering so the other reviews about them not working correctly out of the box is no surprise to me. I have not tried them yet to see how well they run, if at all. The car bodies that I did get are well detailed, not true HO train scale but closer to model train HO than actual HO slot cars are. Somebody cared when they designed the car bodies. Too bad that the artists hard work was abused by the people who did everything else. I question if the car body designs were legally obtained from the actual artists who created them.

Piece of crap!

After I finally got 1 of the 2 cars to circle the track, the car got stopped by the lap counter! Not enough power to get past it! Then, too many stalls around the track. Pressing the “extra power” button only shoots the car off the track. The copper contacts under the car look nothing like the ones I saw in their instruction video. Don’t waste your money!

Not worth having

The cars stop when they reach the counter and just spin the tires. The cars are not heavy enough to maintain contact with the track and will stop randomly.

Great family fun!

After the power supply didn’t work, I tried switching out my USB charging cubes and voila! I have no idea why— they booth fit the specs required, but anyway now it works and is great fun for the family. My wife likes how small the track is — it fits on a table and can easily be put away when not using.
