Great idea!

Vaccum assisted block sanding ! Who knew it could be so much fun!

Best I've ever tried, pads are for sale.

The best sander on the market. THERE ARE SANDING PADS HERE ON AMAZON I've been in the trades for a long time. This thing sucks up all the dust, and glides much easier than other hand held vac sanders due to it's venting. The long tube is tough, light and long. It's made of resilient plastic. I didn't get paid for this review, but I wanted to set the record straight as the other reviewers were off track big time.

Single use disposable item.

$50 for a sanding block is a ton of money. The thing is, it's almost worth it, but this is going back. I don't return things lightly, but there is no way to buy replacement abrasive pads for this sander. It's too bad, because it seems to work really well. But this needs 80 mm pads and I can only find 2 3/4 inch. Another reviewer suggested buying by the roll and cutting to fit. I don't find 80 mm rolls of abranet anywhere. I thought maybe it was a US/metric market thing, but I don't find 80mm pads available at Amazon UK either. It comes with 5 pieces of abrasive pads. After that, throw it away. I am very disappointed in this purchase.

Obsolescent

Nice grip, great idea, seemingly well made. Would be practical, however, Abranet is not available in this width. No available intermediary pads either.

Buyer Beware!

I purchased this item last January and was extremely pleased with its performance and would have given it a 5 star rating if replacement sanding sheets were available. I emailed Mirka asking about availability and never received an answer. I think Amazon does a disservice to its customers by not mentioning this in its product description. A possible work around might be to purchase Abranet by the roll and cut your own sheets.
