Like Moen Products.

Having purchased many sizes of Moen grab bars. I have always been happy with the quality. I I prefer the covered screw model. I have Moen faucets, towel bars, and shower valves. Always are top quality.

Exceptional mounting design, but cover for screws lets water in

This is a solid and well-thought out design with good materials. The best part is that the mounting plate has many holes and slots for a lot of flexibility in mounting. This means you can mount it into a stud with a higher probability of success and for a variety of angles. . It feels very stable in the wall and in its own construction. Make sure to screw into a stud or ask a contractor to do it with the best anchors. Note that this does *not* include the fancy SecureMount anchor system, that is sold separately. . I chose this model because of the mounting plate and because the covers to hide the screws looked a little more homey and not so industrial like the ones we see in public bathrooms. Unfortunately these covers have large gaps in them which, depending on your application and their angle, can collect some water. For use in a shower, I recommend sealing them up with clear caulk. Other than that, the design looks very nice and should fit with modern or classic bathroom decor. . The screws it comes with are long and strong but the heads do tend to strip a little. I still used them. It also includes washers which is nice. . I got one with the Curled Grip and one without. There isn't a functional difference. I like the look of the smooth one the best. If you are really concerned with grip-ability I would look for another design that is knurled. . If you are installing this for a specific person, make sure to ask them their preferences!! A slight tilt (10-30 degrees) makes it much easier to grab and does not cause so much wrist strain. A 45 degree angle is not really necessary for many applications (like near toilet). Ask your loved one to sit or stand where the bar would be used and mark where their hand can reach and note the angles. This will make a big difference. I have had multiple surgeries and I learned this though first-hand experience. There are so many handicapped bathrooms and showers where the bars were just useless to me because I couldn't reach them. . Overall, recommended and will likely buy again as relatives need them.

Pair this grab bar with Moen wall securing system

I was looking for a solid, chrome finish grab bar for the shower. Familiarity with Moen products took me to this grab bar. I paired it with the special Moen wall security system. The two are made to be used together. If you are able to locate studs in your desired installation, this bar can be used with ease. If you plan to anchor to an area between studs (such as in a shower or next to a toilet) I would highly recommend getting the special wall anchor system for mounting.

Excellent bar

We mounted this vertically, and it's a huge help that we didn't expect to be so handy getting in and out of the shower. Moen is the standard on these kinds of grab bars. These are attractive and solid. This model mounts directly to the wall, with many options for your fasteners/screws. This is not the model where you mount the plates first. I had some trouble getting the faceplate loose.

Secure if mounted to a stud; OK finish for a reasonable price

This is a solid grab bar, reasonably well finished for a moderate price. You have to get three screws into a stud at each end, but the flanged mounts at each end have slots all the way around, so you have choices. But you do have to place the mounts so they are directly on top of a wood stud. (I'm not sure that this grab bar can be mounted securely to metal stud.) Studs are normally spaced with their centers 16" apart, so if you're installing a garb bar horizontally, buy a 16" or 32" one, not a 24". Four stars for the good but not great finish. Note that any grab bar needs to be mounted securely to studs in the wall, so this one isn't any more of a challenge to install than any other brand.
