Monarch's Aluminum Lotus Rain Chain (Black Powder Coated) is a beautifully crafted chain taking inspiration from the exotic lotus flower. It is a simple yet stunning design that elegantly represents the stunning appearance of the lotus flower. Extends to 8. 5 feet in length and formed by the assembly of 20 Lotus shaped cups. Each cup has a wide flared mouth to efficiently capture most of the rainwater with slightly indented and defined petals. The rain chain transports rainwater efficiently down its entire length to the ground where it can be stored in a receptacle for reuse. We needed a rain chain on a corner where our gutter is missing. This works really well in that spot and stops the sheet of water that was always falling there.

Highly Functional

This rain chain is highly functional, easy to install and is at a good scale. We placed it on our two story recently constructed storage shed. I only wish that the manufacturer could provide separately purchased added water cups as our rain chains are a little short. Also the chain that held the string of cups in place seemed a bit lightweight to us, so we intend to replace it with a slightly larger gauge of chain. Otherwise, this seems to be a good product and has worked during typical rainy conditions. We have not seem it perform during a larger rain storm, however

So pretty!

Wow! These were beyond my expectations! They are very pretty, very sturdy, and most importantly they work! At first I was annoyed that my HOA would not permit me to install a downspout, but did approve rain chains so I searched and ordered these. Totally love them! And the do look far better than a downspout so I give my HOA kudos for pushing for style. :)

I just got new rain gutters and chose to put these up instead of downspouts. I have been waiting for it to rain to see how they function. I love them, the sound they make is so cool and they look so pretty as the rain goes through them. I did buy the adapters and the bowl that they suggest and I’m so glad I did

I’m thrilled with this purchase!

The media could not be loaded. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! I wouldn’t have thought that rain chains could bring me this much joy. They’re so pleasant to listen to when it rains. Plus it adds a really nice water element. The installation was fairly straightforward. It took me more time to disassemble the old gutter than to actually install these with the gutter adapter and basin. With that being said, I did purchase both the recommended gutter adapter and basin to anchor the chain. I would recommend both. The adapter took some modifications in order to get it to work in my application (I had to bend it in order to get it to lay somewhat flat in the bottom of my gutter). The chain itself was easy to attach to the adapter, just remove the included triangle attachment (I did this by hand) and attach the top of the chain to the bolt on the adapter. For the basin, the chain was long enough to reach. Since I didn’t need any of the included chain on the basin, I just removed it and attached the base of the chain directly to the basin. Overall, I would say these would make a lovely gift or a great addition to anyone’s home. A friend did bring up concern over the water falling near the base of the house, so I will have to watch this just in case… as of right now, it hasn’t been an issue and I think I could add stones around the basin and direct the water flow further away from the house.

Love it!!

The media could not be loaded. My wife wanted this product for a year or so.I always made an excuse because I wasn't sure it could handle the rain. Boy, was I wrong! It handled a heavy rain with ease. Mind you the rain barrel will fill up fast so consider hooking up a garden hose to handle the heavy rain. So impressed I am now looking to add another to my downspout without pressure from the missus :).
