Rib Rack Heaven

This machine really rocks if you love finishing your ribs on the rotisserie.

Great adjunct to your Napoleon Rotisserie

Great for vegetables and fish. Easy to use. I don't think anything made from wire is easy to clean.

Not adjustable

Ribs r too thick, so is chicken. I end up using this and tying it closed with baking twine for everything I want to use it for. Good idea bad execution. Come on napoleon i expect better.

Returned - Huge Filets or Whole Fish Only (for fish)

Cooking fish on the grill is annoying. I was hoping this would help make that task better. Sadly, the room inside the basket is really to spacious for any fish other than a salmon filet or some much larger, thicker piece of fish. The image on the product page shows a whole fish. We just don't cook whole fish. If you are going to use this for chicken thighs, or breasts, then it would work great. Or, if you plan on using it for whole fish, it would likely work (but even then it must be a certain thickness of fish). However, for us, for our use, we just found this isn't going to do anything for us so we returned it.

Will not work for ribs!

I tried baby backs and St. Louis style ribs and neither fit in the basket. It fit my Joetisserie perfectly and cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I HIGHLY recommend spraying the basket with cooking spray before adding any food to the basket. This will help a lot in the ease of cleaning. I have other Napoleon products and love them but this one is a complete miss. You're better off finding another basket.

O.K. Basket

7 Sep 11 Some of the reviewer of other baskets available here from Amazon noted that the attachment to the spit with a screw through a light piece of metal tended to bend the metal under tightening pressure. Although there was no review of Napoleon 64005 basket, I decided to give it a try. There is not a similar problem with this basket. The spit goes through two substantial rings at each end of the basket with a tapped hole running through each ring from the periphery towards the center. The hole through the two rings will probably accommodate a half inch spit. Two screws with a firm finger purchase at the outer end to tighten them down. The rest of the basket is simple but sturdy. The basket size is a little less than 17x8 inches. I haven't used it yet but don't see any problems. Update 8 Sep 11 Cooked five large chicken breast without a hitch. One wants to squeeze the breast in the basket firmly so they don't shift around and spoil you careful balancing job. Also, the spit runs through the basket, not on the side, which aids in keeping the breasts from shifting around.
