Broked spring

I purchased four of these hinge sets and two of the springed hinges have broken springs in them and the gates won't stay closed.

Deceptive advertising -- only one spring loaded hinge in set

National Hardware V279 3-1/2" Extra Heavy Auto-Close Gate Hinge Set These hinges are fine, but the advertising deception is not. As of this writing, there is no mention in the Amazon ad that only one of the two hinges is spring loaded, while the other one is a regular (non spring-loaded) hinge. Had I known that, I would have ordered the spring loaded hinges at $12.50 each, rather than buy this set for $21. If you need two spring loaded hinges, don't get this set. The one star is because the description implies you'll get two spring loaded hinges, when you don't.

Hinge does not work properly

I have set the spring on these hinges numerous times only to find that the spring releases almost immediately or within a few closings. I do not recommend these. There are better options out there.
