The Bolt Down Bracket System enables pergola owners to mount their pergola safely and securely to a wood deck or cement patio. Simply measure your footprint and bolt the galvanized steel brackets into place. Insert 4 x 4 (10cm X 10cm) pressure treated wood posts (purchased separately) into the brackets and screw them in place. Slide your pergola posts over the wood posts, and screw the pergola posts into the wood. The result is a lasting installation that is safe and rigid. This mounting system was specifically designed for Vita brand pergolas. We highly recommend that if you are installing any of these vinyl pergolas on a flat surface, you purchase this kit. The mounting system comes with brackets and 1.5” (3.8cm) self-tapping screws. The Bolt Down Brackets are guaranteed for 5 years against defects. Important Note: DO NOT use the bolt down bracket system for installing the pergola over concrete pavers, patio stones, or interlocking bricks Extra Materials Required Depending on the type of installation, you will be required to purchase the following hardware: If mounting Pergola onto an existing concrete surface: • 1/4” x 2 3/4” Cement Screws – Countersunk head (12) • 3/16” Concrete drill bit. Brackets are needed if you installing your pergola on a deck or cement.
I purchase these heavy metal brackets to stabilize my pergola on my concrete patio. I am so glad I did. I also put wooden posts inside the vinyl sleeves, for extra support. I also purchased decorative feet and decorative molding to accent my pergola. I am so glad I did that because my concrete patio was very uneven. So in order to level the pergola structure, I had to raise the PVC post sleeves an inch or two. The decorative feet hid the corrective measures I had to take in order to make the pergola, stable and level. The accent pieces also matched the existing garden arbor, we also had in our yard.

These worked just right for my application. I did ...
These worked just right for my application. I did not have the ability to use bolts through the base because I did not have access to the underside of the deck boards I was attaching the brackets to. So I used galvanized lag screws directly into the decking.

Love love love
The only complaint was getting the screws into the concrete!!! That has nothing to do with the product tho just wanted to warn y’all to get an electric hammer drill!!! It looks great my husband was afraid I wouldn’t like the silver peeking out on the bottom but no complaints I should have spray painted them first. It gives it a little bling haha It looks beautiful and holds Down the Pergola well. Love love love

Received less than I should have, 2 versus 4
Dislike... seems like a bait and switch... display set of 4 and then offer other buying options that only have 2 in the set

Awkward but Sturdy
Well built and sturdy No anchor bolts were included. You cannot use those provided if anchoring to a wood deck. The head of the screw is too small. The screws are provided for the side holes though. Side note: either have wood posts thoroughly dried or shave down any oversized posts

rust already
Snow has melted so had a look at the brackets on the weekend... noticed some rusting already! Not major as it looks like I could sand it down and put a coat of rustoleum on it... but a hassle for something I just installed in the fall!

Bolt down brackets
I really like the fact that mounting bolts are not visible. These have a much smaller footprint than many other 4x4 mounting shoes.

Worked as expected
Received the "boots" and installed them on a deck. Tried to secure with extra wood underneath the deck. They work but I think they should be longer and the sleeve should fit them better so they have a bit of a sway to them.

Too small
The 4x4 posts do not fit inside the brackets. I tried to pound them in with a 8lbs sledge but they would not sit on the bottom plate and hung just above the lip of the opened side. I could only force so much without damaging my deck! Because of this the arbor is not very sturdy.
