Very Happy With My Purchase

I recently purchased the CHM2 doorbell button and chime to replace my old doorbell that stopped working a few weeks ago. The installation process was fairly easy, and I was able to do it myself without any professional help. The doorbell button itself is made of durable material and feels solid when pressed. It has a nice, simple design that looks sleek and modern on my front door. The chime is also very easy to use and has a nice, clear sound that can be heard throughout my entire house.

Perfect old school doorbell

The media could not be loaded. We just wanted to replace the old broken chime with a new one. Nothing fancy, nothing special. This was $9 something, and it's perfect. Same old sound like the Brady Bunch! I'm not usually one to read the instructions, but I saw a little piece of padding on one of the chime bars, and I was going to pull it off, until I read not to pull off the little padding thingy. It's a great bell that gives that ding dong sound for the front door, and a single ding for the back door. Super easy to install! It was even the perfect size to cover the old, unpainted, place on the wall.

Despite what other reviewers have said, this doorbell chime is sufficiently loud. This was a concern because a member of the household is hearing impaired. She did not have a problem with the audibility. It was louder than the 20-year-old unit it replaced. The installation went smoothly following the instructions that came packaged with the unit. A very good buy.

Simple, serves the purpose

Simple - exactly what I was looking for to replace the existing very old door chime. It gives a simple ding-dong and that's all I needed. The side door "ding" is terrible because it goes "ding-ghghghghg" - it gives out this empty scary sound instead of the "dong" - very poorly done. It would be nice to have a volume controller since I want to silence it when kids are sleeping. I'm not sure why the review asks about "volume control" and "motion detection" as they're nonexistent with this product.

Easy to install, decorative

Bought this to have a different look than the classic white box. The sounds is not too loud and it looks great. Tip: if you have a vestibule/isolated entrance, try to see if you can install it there — the sound with be slightly muffled, but you’ll still hear it.

Works well and most importantly, works with Google Hello. Simple, clean lines and good for a high ceiling. Quite large, overall.
