Excellent product for tents.

As a Scoutmaster, I have used product for 15 years for our troops tents. It is the best product available at any price.

from old to new

Used it on a couple of tents with high mileage and it was easy to use and very effective in renewing their ability to shed water. My only complaint is that I need to buy more tents and raincoats to be able to use up this bottle.

The media could not be loaded. My family and I went tent camping July 5-9th 2021. The same week Hurricane Elsa decided to grace Florida with her presence. It was a wild and WET week....outside the tent. Inside the tent it was dry as a bone! Not 1 leak the entire week! This stuff really REALLY works. I bought the concentrated bottle and mixed it myself. Our tent was 14x14 and we applied 1 full coat to the tent and rain fly. I still have ½ a bottle left. I put the solution in a spray bottle, stayed it on let sit for a few mins then wiped it into the tent with a rag. Took an hour to fully dry in the FL sun so it's not an all day task. I highly recommend this product!

Changing my review!

Update: Not sure what happened, but my boat is dry now. The first rain soaked through but the 2 rainfalls since have repelled (?). I am hopeful for the future. It is easy to apply so I do see myself re-applying annually or every other year. Reasonably priced. Nikwax works! I will buy again and I do recommend. Yippee! 1st review: I followed the directions. There is no change, the water soaks in/through the material and does not repel. I was so hopeful but I would not purchase again. I would not recommend.

A Real Disappointment

Tried using this product on olefin patio umbrellas and outdoor canopy over my swing. Also outdoor cushions. Total waste of money. Followed instructions exactly. All of my equipment faded and degraded in one harsh summer due to sun and water damage. I wanted to like this product but it did not perform for me. And I feel it is highly overpriced for a concentrate. Live in Rhode Island.

Easy to apply

I used a pump garden sprayer for my large tent, made the mix accordingly.let it soak in for 5 ish minutes Wiped off the excess which seemed to be alot but I used a big sprayer. dryed in approximately 15 minutes. I had enough so I sprayed the whole tent. This stuff is very sticky on your hands and even harder wash off I recommend using disposable gloves. Labor day weekend will be the test

No rain since I used this!

The first time I've tried this product, I've used it to waterproof my car's soft top. It goes on easily from a hand spray bottle after diluting according to the instructions and has left an even finish. However since I did it it hasn't rained! Many days now, and in a wetter part of the west of Scotland, I wonder whether I've found a new way to influence the weather? I this the real secret of Nikwax?

Absolutely does what it says on the tin. I bought this to apply to our new tent but haven't had an opportunity yet, but I have applied it to my new walking boots and a couple of jackets and it's worked perfectly! I'll be hunting out all of my jackets and boots prior to the winter months.
