This 3 Gal Stainless Steel touchless trash can is designed and engineered by NINESTARS, the world's first legal patent holder. With its sleek oval fingerprint-resistant design, it can be used in almost any place, such as the home, office, kitchen, bedroom, dorm room or a kid's room. This durable trash can uses the most advanced sensor technology which can be found in all Ninestars trash cans. Pass your hand or debris within ten inches or a 130° angle from the infrared sensor and the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or hand remains within the range of the infrared sensor. Three seconds after your hand moves away from the lid, it will close automatically. Power lasts up to 6 months in normal daily usage. It includes a ring liner to keep trash bag from public view for a neat and clean appearance.

A must have where flushing paper is an issue

Stops the stink. Can is perfect size. Those expensive little bags also, are worth it. This fits kind of behind toilet a bit so bath is not so cluttered looking. The sensor works fine.

I need 10 of these!

This is a perfect size for my very small bathroom. Many of the others I looked at were just a bit too big, but this one is just right. I got trash bags from the dollar store. I suppose I didn't really need an auto-open trash can, but it is extremely handy when you've got lotions on your hand.

Broke after 1 year but warranty honored.

It worked fine until it didn't. I purchased this about 18 months ago and the lid stopped working, even after I replaced batters. However, since it has a 2 year warranty, I was able to get a new lid with NO ISSUES except I had to pay for shipping.

Love it

So far so good...have had it a few months now. It operates very quietly overall, and I am still on my first batteries after 4 months of daily use. The lid stays clean, and so does the body. I cannot detect any regular garbage doors when the lid is down. Mine sits in a open space under a counter with a drawer. If the drawer is not properly shut, though, the lid will stay up. If you plan on placing this under a sink, beware, as it will detect anything above it...hoses, the sink, towels, etc. and you may be disappointed as the lid will not come down in these cases. It is not just ‘motion sense” as in movement, but also as in anything mounted over hovering above it. I hope it continues to perform well, as it looks sharp and it is the most convenient and cleanest garbage can I ever had the joy to own! Shipping was quick as well. Item is very well packaged and was a better price than at other retailers or other brands for this size.

Motion detector works great

I wanted a medium size motion detector garbage can for the bathroom & this one is the perfect size. I didn’t want to have to wave my hand over the lid numerous times before it opened, yet I didn’t want the lid to open every time someone was near it. I couldn’t be more pleased with motion detection on this unit. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it requires 2 'C' batteries. I have a much larger one in the kitchen & it only requires 2 'AA' batteries and it works equally as well.

Good Value

This is the second time I’ve purchased this exact garbage can. The first one lasted over 5 years, used daily in the main bathroom. Eventually the motor stopped working. Motion detection works 99% of the time. As my previous one got older, the outer silver layer started peeling around the edges of the lid. My only cleaning complaint is there’s lots of nooks and crannies that easily fill with dust around the lid and rim.

This motor sensor trash can lives up to its promise and is accompanied by great customer service.

This sleek looking kitchen trash can is the perfect size for a senior living alone, and makes managing my kitchen so much easier. Easy ,no touch operation makes fewer demands on my arthritic back and helps maintain good hygiene and sanitation during food prep without my having to wash my hands every five minutes. I bought mine during the Covid-19 pandemic when we already are needing to wash hands many times throughout the day, so this modern appliance has been extra useful.
