Have only used once on a ripe mango but it worked well.

Good blades bad base

Well the blades are certainly sharp... during the first use of the tomato slicer the alignment must have been a bit off as they sliced easily into the plastic base. Now there are bits sticking out that doesn’t allow the blade to get a full slice unless I kinda jiggle it to get past the bit that’s sticking out

Decent idea, poor execution of design

Don't bother. Blades are not sharp, handles flex and the base is difficult to align.
