SIZE UP
I wear a size 10 so I purchased a 10 but I found that they were too tight. I sized up to an 11 and found that if I wear thin knee-high socks, the 11 are easier to put-on but they are still tight. I am now waiting to a size 12 to see if they fit better.

Unattached boot liner seems to run a little small compared to the actual food
My son who is a size 12, constantly complained about wearing these boots due to the snug Ness of the inner wool lining that is not attached. That said they did stretch and now he wears them all the time. It was a pain in the butt to even get them on him, because he didn’t feel like taking all that time while his friends were waiting to sled!!!. Keep in mind my size 12 boy is only 12! Yes he will be huge but that being said, the removable wool sock liner is kind of a pain in the butt…Although I’m sure an actual adult who is a size 12 man, Could probably figure it out. But they did seem super snug so I would suggest sizing down. I think if the liner were attached it would’ve been a lot easier. And it’s not like you can wear them without the liner so, but not attaching it they’re giving you a dual you spring boot that’s waterproof. No! These cannot be worn without a liner, as the bottom is not finished and would hurt your foot. So the unattached Boiled wool, sock-type liner must to be used. But they were cheap and warm and if they last for a year I’m happy. Hope this helps

This icy bump seems built-up over the middle part of bottom sole where the fine traction cavities in the middle
We purchased these for my son. He has a medium foot width. Size 12D(M) fit a bit tide at the bottom of the soul and at the middle part of the arch. One disappointing part was that these shoes had a problem building-up ice pocket under the front bottom external part of the sole during the slightly snowy/wet weather in icy/slushy ground condition. My son complained to me that cleaning/shoveling concrete driveway from the slash snow on the ground was constantly building uncomfortable icy "bump" under the boot and he was constantly supposed to hit bottom of the boot against sharp brick riser of the stair steps. I thought he is just a teenager complainer and tried them myself. Indeed after about 15-20 minutes cleaning slushy/snowy driveway outside I started to fill uncomfortable icy "bump" under the front portion of the sole. I took the boot off and looked closely why is this happening. This icy bump seems built-up over the middle part of bottom sole where the fine traction cavities in the middle. Outer part of sole traction has larger size cavities/grooves and ice seems did not built-up in those areas. While using boots on the cold dry snow weather this "icy bump" did not built-up. My son pointed that wearing them during the dry snow weather boots were comfortable and warm/dry inside. Considering these are made to be water proof meaning exactly icy/snow slush condition I say they did not do good job. I have an older pair of Western Chief snow boots I've being comfortably wearing for 5 years - never had this "icy bump built-up" problem. Unfortunately Western Chief does not make them any more..

Dangerous in Snow
As other reviews have stated, these boots allow snow to build up on the soles. I bought these in October and the east coast snow storm we just had, Jan 22-23, was my first chance to try these out in snow. What a disaster! It only takes a few steps in snow and you will get snow cakes on the soles. At points, I had 2 inch circular ice balls on the heel and balls of the soles. Stepping from snow to solid surfaces almost twisted my ankles at times. It's a beast getting the caked on ice off. You risk a major fall walking from snow onto tiled floor, like at your local grocery store - the entry mat won't get the ice cleanly off, you'll need to chisel it out of the tread. Another issue I had was the first time I tightened the strap on one boot, the metal retangular loop bent open and the strap came out of the loop. I had to bend it back into shape with pliers. As long as the strap is square on the loop this won't happen, but there can be tendency for the strap to pull to one side of the loop if you pull at an angle and if so, the loop can bend out of shape. Now that I know this, I don't do it anymore and it is not a problem. The boots are warm and comfy inside. For the cold, rain and mud these are great. These are not good for snow, I'd even say dangerous. Walk to your car in the snow, I'd advise chunking away the caked ice before you put you foot on the brake and gas pedals. I'd return these, but it's been 3 months since my purchase.

Warm! Warm! Warm!!!!
My husband is 82 and diabetic. His feet are ALWAYS cold - until we got these boots!!!!!! He says it's the first time his feet have been warm in YEARS! Sizing info: he wears a size 12 so we bought a size 13. He needed serious help getting them on the first 10 or so times - he pulls, I push, big time. It's gotten a bit better with repeated use but we still have a way to go before he can put them on himself. BTW - there's a liner, and you might think you can just take the liner out and then it will be easier to put on except the boot without the insert has hard, plastic and very uncomfortable parts. Still, if your feet have been cold forever; they won't be anymore if you buy these boots.

I have an average wide foot and would recommend to anyone buying online shoes or boots to go ...
I would say the boot works as expected. I live in Chicago and though we had only a mild winter so far, it has held up on its own. I have an average wide foot and would recommend to anyone buying online shoes or boots to go to a sport store and size your foot on width. If it's not in the everyday range then make sure you use that information accordingly and don't expect every boot or shoe to fit. My dog has not destroyed them yet but is trying, no subtraction to the company for my mistake of leaving a boot with Velcro on the ground for her to play with. Only damaged the strap (easy sewing fix) and did not puncture any other part so the boot holds up to an aggressive chewer.

Very comfortable
I am between a size 12/13 and I went with the 12 to save money. They will fit without big socks on but I should have went with the 13. Great insoles and very comfy, I like the strap idea for easy tightening,

Wore it through 1 hunting trip and the seams started to fray and come apart. I was not impressed with this product.

Very warm and fit great!
I am a size 10 and I ordered size 10, fit was perfect. I like the ties at the top that I can draw in, to keep snow out. Great tread as well. Totally satisfied.
