Came back for a second
Like the title suggests, this is the second time I've purchased this toothbrush. The first one I purchased roughly 5-6 years ago and cycled through several styles of replacement heads over the years. It still worked pretty well even after all that time, I just felt that the power was not quite what it was when new, so I decided it was time to replace. The new one does in fact feel like it has just a little more power, which translates to my teeth feeling cleaner after I brush. I charge overnight about once every week and a half and I'm happy with the battery life. The newer model is just slightly easier to turn on and off. The older generation just for whatever reason seemed to be more difficult that you'd think to hit just right. Overall, for the price I don't think there's a better option out there. I have no issues with this brush and it does everything I would hope at a very high level.

Great toothbrush
I had an oral b toothbrush for many years. My old one wore out and I had to get a new one. I love the improvements. This is the brush for me.

Absolutely love this!!! My first electric toothbrush and I literally feel like I just left the dentist after I use it! I will never go back to any other toothbrushes!

Will do the job if you have healthy gums & teeth
If you don't have sensitive gums and are familiar with using oral b or any electric toothbrush it's a good choice. However I returned it because this doesn't apply to me. Used one electric toothbrush in my life Phillips sonicate (ecommended by hygienist) so wasn't use to how loud oral b was & how much it vibrates. Also I have very sensitive gums, so the brush it came with made it quite sore, and I read while researching if you use/buy the sensitive brush, it doesn't give you the same thorough clean if you have problems with plague or gum disease. I also bought it thinking it had 3 lights that sensors how much pressure you are using on your teeth/gums, but it only sensors if you are pressing too hard with a red light. I don't use enough pressure, so need the 3 lights to help me. Also it's much louder than the Philips sonicate. But what I did find was that oral b with the round brushes cleans alot better than the square brushes on the sonicare-at least to me. Easier to get individual teeth-and use in general if you have a small mouth. The hygienist was wrong about sonicate being better in my view. I've tried the io 4 version and it has what I need, so sticking with that. Quieter-and main brush for cleaning and plaque doesn't hurt my gums so won't need to go to the sensitive brush at least so far. But this is an excellent choice if you don't have the problems I mentioned above.

this must be the third unit I have bought in the last 20 years
Batteries usually go in 5-7 years better than I would expect . New models are always greatly improved . For dental health, a great investment.

Great toothbrush but
Love the toothbrush but it annoys me that they give you coupon for brush heads and it doesn't work

Good Enough
After some research I went with this mid-level model (in terms of fancy features) and am happy with it. It’s noisier than the Sonicare I was used to, with a different cleaning motion. I’m still getting used to the oddly grippy exterior coating, which is good on the one hand but just feels a little strange to me. Unless I am misunderstanding the device, there is no auto shut-off. Battery life sounds promising but I haven’t tested that feature.

Handle.
The handle is too smooth; it should have more grip. The power button should be more prominent; and it is a nuisance to have to hold it down to shut off.
