Best for smaller grills.

The material this is made of is surprisingly robust, if anything it feels more substantial than most solid woods. I like this material better overall than the regular wood scrapers, it feels more substantial and feels like it'll hold up better and last longer but time will tell on that. I like that it's fairly easy to get a good grip on it and you can, if you want, burn the long edge to use that for cleaning too. The only thing that isn't great about using this at least on a larger grill is I find it kind of small. Having a nice long handle is useful for getting all the way to the back of the grill and I also like to use the end of the handle to get more leverage pushing down on the scraper which doesn't work quite as well with this design. I'd say this scraper would be perfect for using with a portable grill but I think a bigger/longer scraper works best for a large home grill.

Love this Product!

When I heard horror stories about people who became injured by unwitting ingesting metal bristles from BBQ cleaning brushes, I threw ours out. I started to use a short piece of cedar deck board instead. This grate cleaner is much prettier than my deck board, and a super safe option. It’s fairly lightweight and sturdy. The design makes it easy to hang to store. It is also easy to clean and best of all made from recycled materials. It would be a good Father’s Day gift or a thoughtful gift if you are invited to a BBQ.

Grill grate cleaner

Clean your grate without having to worry about scratching the metal. Apparently that is a concern for grill purists. This looks like it can help to clean your grill. This probably should be sheltered from the elements as I wouldn't want to see what might happen if it is repeatedly exposed to the rain, snow and weather.

Great for cleaning the grill safely

There's an increase emergence of small wires getting into food from traditional grill scrubbers and this tool definitely eliminates that safety concern. Really sturdy and like that it has two hands for a more secure scrub.
