Drying your freshly-made pasta has never been easier! The Ovente Pasta Drying Rack is perfect for drying all types of long noodles such as spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, bucatini, angel hair lasagne and even ramen noodles! Its drying rods are made of BPA-free acrylic so you don’t have to worry about any harmful chemicals being in contact with your delicious homemade pasta. Pasta should always be dried completely before cooking or storing for future use and this drying rack makes it really easy to do that while saving space. It also includes a pasta wand that is stored in the center tube that allows you to safely transport your pasta to a boiling pot or bags for storage. Once you’re done, the pasta wand conveniently stores right back into the tube saving space for storage without hassle. You can also transport your dried pasta by pulling up the black knob to remove it, then one by one carefully remove a single rod starting from top to bottom. And cleanup is a cinch too. The entire drying rack can be cleaned by wiping with a clean damp cloth. After cleaning, fold in its 3 legs and put all the rods to one side. This allows for easy storage that only takes up very little room.

A great little pasta maker.

After watching lots of cooking shows, my son decided he wanted to make his own noodles. He has fun with this and makes us some great dishes. It is pretty simple to use and easy to clean. I never imagined I could tell the difference in a noodle but the homemade noodles really do taste so much better!

Doesn't Grip the Countertop Too Well, but Pasta-ifies Dough Well!

The little tightening clamp for the pasta maker is kinda wobbly and twisty, and you have to REALLY tighten it, which made me scared for my counters, but the actual maker is pretty well made. You get your money's worth, it's certainly not the most fantastic product ever, but it gets the job done for pretty cheap. I'd recommend it for anyone looking to use a pasta maker like twice a year.

Fine for craft work, but too lightweight for most pasta tasks

I got this not to make pasta but for craft work (flattening wires). It works fine for that, and the build quality is good enough that it will have a decent service life for crafts. However, for actual pasta making, this has a number of significant shortfalls. It's very lightweight construction, and will not stand up to much use. The roller tolerances are not great -- again, fine for craft work, but not for pasta. The gearing is especially janky in terms of build quality. It gets 5 stars for craft work, but one star for pasta work. Overall rating of 3 stars. It might be OK if your pasta making is limited to a couple of times a year, but if pasta making is something you'll be doing weekly or monthly, this will be a disappointment. Machines such as the Atlas (or others that are made in Italy) are more expensive, but are a joy to use. You can spend your time enjoyably making pasta rather than fighting with the machine.

PERFECT for Polymer Clay!

I have spent thousands of dollars on art and jewelry making supplies over the years, and this little pasta machine has to be the best thing I have ever purchased- I just wish I'd gotten one sooner. I was able to use it literally within minutes of un-boxing. It has saved me so much time, and eliminated all the frustration that came with attempting to roll the perfect slab of polymer clay manually. Goodbye hideous clay covered roller and thickness guides! My setup used to take FOREVER. Now, I just take a chunk of clay, condition it in my hands for a few seconds, and roll it through the machine. I never have air bubbles, and can now roll slabs of 7 perfectly even thicknesses. It's very easy to clean, just run a slightly damp paper towel through (the manufacturer does not recommend using a lot of water on this product, so when I say slightly damp, I mean it!), followed by a dry one, and voila! This pasta machine has opened up so many doors for me. I bought it to make charms and bead rolling sheets for jewelry, but have started exploring techniques that were previous off limits. You can roll clay with gold/silver/whatever foil on top through this machine to get a gorgeous crackle effect, create clay gradients, or use it to roll the layers for a perfect Mokume Gane effect (I have not tried this yet, but I have seen some amazing results on Youtube. Definitely going to be my next project!)

Good for beginners

It takes getting used to and I’m sure with more use and practice it will get easier to use. However, if your dough spreads too far, you’ll lose it as it will come out with grease streaks. Watch your fingers during cleaning, even being cautious it easy rolls in a pinky.
