THE MAIN THING I LIKE ABUT THIS POUNDER IS IT'S COMPACT. IT HAS AN ANGLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE POUNDER HEAD AND DOESN'T WEIGH A HUNDRED POUNDS! WHY DO MANUFACTERES THINK WE NEED MEAT POUNDER TWO FEET LONG AND WEIGH A TON! ALL THOSE HEAVY ONES DO IS TEAR UP THE MEAT YOU'RE TRYING TO TENDERIZE. I JUST GOT THIS TODAY. IT CAME ABOUT 5 MINUTES BEFORE I NEEDED TO TENDERIZE SOME PORK LOIN FOR SUPPER.THIS IS GOOD FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS A PRACTICAL EVERYDAY TENDERIZER.GOOD FOR SENIORS LIKE ME. IT'S A GOOD PRICE TOO.

Works great, but what's with the black film?

Tool works as I'd hoped. Fits my hand well. Since I did chicken, I put the tool in the dishwasher. When it came out, it was gray. I wiped it with a paper towel and it was covered with a black coating that coats everything it touches. What's up with this? 2 stars off for this.

Great for flattening chicken breasts

This tool is great for chicken breasts that often are uneven thickness; it lets you pound down the thick portion so the meat cooks more evenly. For years, I’ve pounded meat with the flat edge of a knife. This tool is safer and more effective.

After washing weird black residue coming off it

I have no idea why after washing this there is a strange black residue that gets all over your meat I can’t use it anymore it’s like it’s had some sort of chemical reaction coming out of the metal it’s quite disgusting band very unsafe
