Nice variety of colors

I got this bucket because it had a variety of colors that I didn't currently have in my collection. I don't follow the patterns included. These buckets are the best value to get many colors without breaking the bank. They're vivid, all uniform in shape and color, melt evenly and couldn't ask for more! This is by far the best brand..they are not all created equally when it comes to perler beads and I don't recommend mixing brands in one project. As they may have different melting points/different thickness etc and deff don't make for a uniform piece. Stick with one brand, and this is the best. I've tried most of all of them! Best value and best quality hands down. You won't be disappointed, I highly recommend

The bucket was barely a large cup, way smaller than expected but good for beginners.

Great variety of colors, but don't expect a bunch of each.

48 different colors make this an awesome buy, only thing is you don't get an even distribution of each color... some colors I only recieved about 40 beads, but it was a great way to get a good variety and if you're wanting to make "woodland creatures" you definitely get decent amounts of the traditional colors you would need to make them with. This seemed like the best deal to get a good sampling of colors so I could figure out which ones I like best and want to purchase full bags of. I'm posting this with a picture of the all the beads after I sorted them by color so others can get an idea of how many of each color you get. If you're most excited about the Pearl colored beads then this might not be the set for you as those colors (on the bottom right of my photo) were the ones I recieved the least of. There are definitely different packages of Perler beads that are probably a better deal if you are going for quantity, but this one has more colors than any other one I could find which it what I enjoyed most about it. The turtle and bunny pegboards are super cute and you can do all kinds of stuff with the square and hexagon, although they are the small ones. No project book came with this set, but there are seven animals pictured on the bucket that you could easily reference.

Look at contents before buying

Just a reminder to check the contents of the product before you decide to buy. I did, but it would be easy not to and then be disappointed. Note that you only receive two animal shaped perler bead boards (the rabbit and turtle), not the wide variety of animals pictured on the bucket. However you can make those on the included square and hexagon boards if you want. My 3.5yo enjoys making the turtles and rabbits that are shaped for her; my 11, 9, and 6yo can create the other animals pictured plus many more ideas they come up with. Perler bead sets have been a longtime favorite here. Love having a simple quiet craft all ages can enjoy.

Great set, good price, does not come with instructions

All in all a good product but does not come with directions. You can look them up online, but that’s not super convenient for a little kid working on these. Otherwise, no issues.

Deceiving Description

I purchased this craft kit for my children. It clearly says on the container that it is "Woodland Creatures." While the kit does come with a couple boards to make creative projects, and many beads in lots of fun colors, there are NO stencils for woodland creatures. You can buy cheaper beads and get free downloads for stencils online. The only reason I did not return this item is because we found some stencils online and the kids still had fun playing with it.

Misleading packaging

Packaging is misleading - there are only 2 woodland animal pegboards, the other 2 are a square and hexagon. Disappointing.
