Oversized bowls! Do dogs really eat that much?

Brought this for my 5 month old gsd since she not only outgrew the bowls I bought when she was a puppy that only held one cup each (which meant I had to refill them multiple times per meal) but I felt it couldn't possibly be comfortable for her neck to bend down like that while eating. So far, I'm satisfied with the purchase. Not only are the bowls extremely large (holds about 6 cups each), she looks more comfortable while eating. Currently, I have it on the medium height and the legs are seem sturdy. My only concern is if/when I would have to raise it to the maximum height, whether the legs would remain that way when she reaches her full size and dives in. I suppose if I don't update this review by then - approximately, 4 to 7 months - you can assume everything remains well and we're still satisfied. 4 stars because there's no such thing as perfection but it's close.

Looks nice

This works great for my senior dog. I do wish the bowls were a little bigger. We have to fill her water bowl a couple times a day. If you have an aggressive eater these may not be sturdy enough, but works great for my old lab.

Great Value

We needed an adjustable dog dish for short term use and this fit the bill due to its low price. It was easy to use and easy to keep clean, unlike some more expensive adjustable dog dishes I’ve owned. Overall, very happy with this purchase. Would recommend.

Better consumption of food.

I like that my lab is not consuming food hunched over a bowl. (Ok, animals in the wild really don't care where their food is placed.) I feel this is better with eating and digestion. No, I'm not a vet. Just personal logic. The stainless steel bowls are easy to clean, and don't absorb odors over time. The stand is easy to assemble. I have just one minor problem. I use the stand at its highest point. It's has not collapsed or come a part. It's just a little wobbly when the dog has backed into it. The middle height and lower height are solid. Still, I like it enough that I now have two.

Looks good, shame holds water on surface

All looked great until in use... Sadly gathers water slobber on the indented tray surface around where the bowls sit, I’m repeatedly wiping it and we don’t have a wet-mouth type dog. Poor recess design, bowls should be raised up with angled trough sides for water to flow back in the bowl.

Good product

I have been looking around for a while for a raised dog feeder, some didn't sound sturdy enough, some seemed to move when the dog ate from them. I took a chance with this one even though it is more expensive than some. I am not disappointed it's great my frenchie loves eating from it , it doesn't take up a lot of room and the bowls are a good size. Would highly recommend.
