When Pete Rickard developed the original Indian Buck Lure in 1929, he didn't realize he was creating an industry. He just wanted to improve his own hunting. Knowing that a strong natural formula that attracted deer and covered his own scent, he followed a dream. Pete discovered the secret of consistently successful deer hunting was overcoming a deer's acute sense of smell. If he would have listened to those who thought he was crazy, he would not of become a pioneer and innovator of Indian Buck Lure. It is still as popular today as when it was introduced over 85 years ago. Thousands of testimonial letters were received at the Catskill Mountain based company that spoke of the effectiveness of Pete Rickard's Hunting & Trapping Lures. There have been many imitators that have come and gone but Pete Rickard's remains. Want to try Pete Rickard's original formula?

Dog doesn’t like it but I can hear her in the woods.

The clapper feel out in just over a month.
I bought this bell so I could keep track of my dog. However, the clapper wore out four days past the return window. Other brands of bells I've bought from sporting goods stores have lasted two years.

Solid product!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this bell to use as part of a Halloween costume for one of my dogs. See attached pictures and video ????! Apologies in advance for the video because I lose my entire darn mind at cuteness. At the end of the video you can hear the bell ring. The bell seems to be well made and since Halloween is over, we now hang the bell on the back door handle so the dogs can swat at it to let us know when they need to go out.

Works .......!
I have a 5 month old Spaniel who loves to run and swim. I take her to my pond. She runs, swims and wanders in the woods. I feel real comfortable. When the noise stops I turn , look and find her quickly. I have it on a separate collar just for adventures at the pond!

Perfect for off leash hiking with your dogs!
Since it has a nice leather strap it will not fall off unlike the cheaper bells that velcro around your dogs collar. Since my huskies hike off leash I like be able to hear them when they hike in the tall grass. So far my dogs have put it through some abuse including rolling in mud, swimming, running fast through bushes and tall grass and this bell stays on and you can actually hear it from 100 ft away in the forest!! It has a nice medium pitch to it and isn't annoyingly loud. Highly recommend this bell for anyone that hikes with their dogs off leash. It's a must!

Nicely built, but doesn't sound like a traditional cow bell.
Good quality bell and strap. I've been using it for a few months on my lab, and it's still in great shape. The bell is small and not heavy at all. I had hoped that it would have a deeper cow bell sound, but it doesn't. I would describe the sound as something like a dinner bell, if that helps. It's loud enough to hear about 50-90 yards in the woods. I use it on my dog, for upland bird hunting, so he doesn't get out more than 100 yards. This is working well, but I may get a slightly larger one, to get a deeper tone.

Since it is pretty loud I actually attach it to myself
I got this bell on a recommendation on a Hiking with Dogs group after running into a pack of coyotes while taking my dog out on trail. This bell is really loud and works well. We aren't surprising any wildlife anymore! Since it is pretty loud I actually attach it to myself, rather than my dog because I think it would hurt her ears (She wears another smaller bell). Good for anybody who loves the outdoors but doesn't love surprise predators!
