Smells Like Cancer
It could probably be $5 cheaper, but it beats what I was going to do getting rubber bushings/grommets and putting them in wood. Wood looks nicer, but it would have ended up costing like 3x as much plus the work lining everything up neatly etc. Some people are foolish and don't understand that you won't be able to use EVERY hole considering oversized/large bit heads... My only gripe is that it's been open for like 5 hrs and is still radiating this horrific Chinese factory smell. I feel bad actually knowing that people are enduring this right now to make this foam. It smells cancerous and hopefully gone tomorrow. Minus 1 star for putting me through this smell and mental guilt thinking about the horror people experience making it

Organization at its finest
I purchased this Router Bit Tray to help in organizing my Router Bits. This Tray has made the organization of my Router Bits much more convenient! I now know exactly where they are and can easily access them when I use them! Great product!!! Great Design!!!

Holes are a little tight, tough to push them in more than 1/2" deep.
I would have liked to of pushed the shafts of the bits in farther but they are a bit tight. It still supports them fine. If you want to store lots of 1/2" shank straight/flush cutters the spacing is ideal. But if you have profile bits the hole spacing is a bit close. The 1/4" holes are spaced pretty good as the OD of most of the bits aren't that large. But some of the 1/2" bits the OD is large enough where they touch each other or you have to go every other hole. If they lost 2 1/2" holes per row it would be better for spacing of the 1/2" bits, it wouldn't look as pretty as the holes wouldn't all line up but it would be more practical (for my collection). Or maybe a row or two of wider spacing for the profile bits and the existing spacing for straight/flush bits. The foam is pretty stiff but still slightly flexible. It had a slight smell when I took it out of the packaging. No labels on the foam, just on the outside of the plastic wrapper. After I put all my bits in I was surprised at how many I had collected over the years.

Better than expected.
I was impressed with how sturdy this is. It also lets you pack a lot of bits into a small space. I'd tried making router bit racks out of wood on my drill press, but when I drilled holes with a 1/2" bit they were too tight and the router bits wouldn't fit, so I drilled them out again with a 9/16" which made them too loose and the router bits would wobble around. At that point I figured rather than spending the money to buy a 17/32" Forstener bit to try it again, I'd just give this a try, and I'm glad I did. The bits fit snuggly and don't wobble around at all, but they still go in and out easily. I plan to build a drawer to fit the tray's dimensions. Eventually, when the Router bit collection outgrows this tray, I will definitely get a second one. It might be worth mentioning, this does have a strong smell. You know that foam-plastic chemical smell? It doesn't bother me so I didn't take a star away, but I know it bothers some people. I stopped noticing it after a week or two.

All of my bits are now in one place.
All of my bits fit in this handy foam square. I suspect that won't always be the case; but, for now, there is ample room for both 1/2" shank and 1/4" shank bits. Incidentally, because I have both size bits, it would be handy if there were room on this doodad to store the extra collet that I install on my router table to use one or the other size. What that suggests, though, is that I really should build a cabinet with a drawer to house this tray and other drawers for accessories like the extra collets, collars, inserts and the like.

Great way to organize your router bits
I got tired of dealing with the little plastic cases that Freud router bits come in, they take up space, are a pain to remove and insert the router bits. This foam block consolidates all my bits into one spot thats easy to insert and remove. I like how it supports 1/4 and 1/2 inch shanks, the price is very reasonable for what you get and a lot quicker than drilling plywood to create something similar. I can insert all my router bits and pick the tray up because it securely holds the bits in place, you could even tip it over and bits wont move.

Good storage solution for 1/4", 8mm and 1/2" router bits
This is a simple yet effective way to store a fairly large collection of router bits... It holds well 1/4", 8mm and 1/2" bits -I don't have any 12mm bits to test. The spacing between the holes is fairly tight, which means it might not be possible to use every hole when using large diameter bits. The foam is fairly thick and seems to be of good quality, stiff but with enough give to insert and remove the bits easily, while holding them well. Overall the tray is a very tight fit in a Systainer -cutting the foam is strongly recommended if this is what you have in mind! I understand that holding the bits in foam is better than holding them in a wood block from a corrosion perspective, but I only started using this product a few weeks ago and can't confirm this yet.

High quality foam, but very tight fit!
Generally happy that I bought this router bit tray as it looks nice, is made of very durable and dense foam, and offers a lot of storage. Only downside is how tight the fit is on router bits. With this in a drawer I didn't need it to be extremely tight fitting, if you're mounting this on the inside of a door it'll certainly work!
