The ProTapes Pro Gaff black gaffer's tape is 11 mil thick, 3" wide, and 55 yd. long, and is made from matte cloth with a rubber adhesive to conform to irregular surfaces and remove cleanly without residue from most surfaces. The tape, also known as gaffer or gaffers' tape, is printable and suitable for a range of applications including wire and equipment labeling as well as temporary cable hold down and sealing. It resists abrasion and can be torn by hand. The tape can be used outdoors and withstands temperatures from 50 to 200 degrees F. Tensile strength is 45 lb. per inch. the best tape around

This is the real deal - real gaffers tape. You can use this tape and then remove it and use it for something else. I have had it on things for years and it doesn't melt or leave marks, unless you leave it in direct sunlight. Even then, it is not much of a problem. And, it is the best tape for holding thing together without the worry that it will come apart. I keep buying the 3" and 1" size because I keep using up the rolls. They are pricey, but they are the best.

Best I’ve found so far P.S. this tape isn’t supposed to stick to skin

I was hunting for a good gaff tape that both stuck well and removed easily without leaving residue. I tried many other garbage tapes(didn’t even use half the roll) and none of them even compared to this brand, and for the price too, it’s really not that expensive considering the performance you get from it. I’ve used this tape at gigs for about two months now and it definitely works for my needs. I’ve almost gone through 4 rolls and it hasn’t failed me yet. Sticks well and removes clean. You might see reviews saying “ahh it left an awful residue, never going to buy it again” don’t let dummies fool ya, they probably forgot to mention that had it stuck there for the whole summer through all the heat.. and no, it’s probably not going to pull up clean, it’s designed more or less for temporary use, tape cords down for a show, remove tape after a show. Just saying, keep that in the back of your mind when reading foolish reviews. ..Anyway.. Now all I need is to find a tape that will actually stick to the grille of my Vox.

Does what gaff tape should do really well no residue

This is real Gaffers tape it's a fabric not paper for all the reviews of people trying to take their kids to the wall and all this crazy crap guys I'm not sure where these people developed there standards for gaff tape and what it could do.. it's kind of funny if you ask me I love reading some of these 1-star reviews people trying to tape cables up to their wall and a year later it's starting to peel off really people. I use this tape simply to tape cables on to any surface meaning the floor not vertical just the ground so people don't trip over the cables and yanked them out of the wall or speaker cabinets or whatever it's plugged into then when the event is over I peel the tape up and I throw it away simple as that works great no residue sticks to any dirty surface I put it on literally... Dusty, dirty surface sticks right to it. the cheaper paper Gaff tape actually works really well also for what I use it for. just used it last night and it works great, it sticks to everything. it's very easy to apply and I have no complaints, it left zero residue....

Sooo much better than duct tape

Of course there are proper uses for duct/duck tape but for most of the things we tend to do around the house this has proven to be the best thing since sliced bread! Love it! Easy to use. Doesn't seem to be as messy as duct tape can sometimes be. Seems to hold better on the surfaces we find ourselves needing to work with around the house. (Mind you we are not building or remodeling oe anything heavy duty.) It is pricier than duct tape but it does what you want and so there is less waste and...oh yes, less frustration. How much is that worth to you? We don't expect to need to reorder again for quite some time but we won't hesitate to buy this gaffer's tape again when we do.

The perfect tape for DJs

I only use ProTapes gaffers tape and this is my third or fourth purchase. I work most weekends as a DJ doing weddings and private events and this tape is perfect. It's wider than what most people seem to use so it's more than wide enough for your largest gauge cables and holds tight on wood, tiling, and even carpet. I've had one or two ocassions where it wouldn't stick, but I assume that nothing would've worked in that situation. It always removes easily and doesn't leave a residue which is essential when working at nicer and historical venues and even I can even get it off of my cables when it gets wrapped around itself. I've even been thinking about buying it in different colors. Recommend this tape completely and wholeheartedly.

Gaff tapes seem to all be over priced, and this is no exception, but it did a good job and I will purchase it again, if I don't find a better deal elsewhere
