First pitcher was mislabeled, Replacement was correct
First pitcher was a non-Plus version that had been mislabeled by the inventory staff. Replacement was the correct PUR Plus model. I bought the pitcher to use primarily with my single-cup coffee maker. I have been using bottled water, but the pitcher is a less expensive option. Not sure how the water quality and contaminants will differ, but the taste should be better than tap water. Easy set-up, but it does take multiple filling of the pour tray to fill the pitcher. If you're in a hurry then the first filling will take about 15 minutes to filter, so don't expect this to be a fill and pour immediate pitcher. For that you should look for a non-lead filtering version.

I like this
It is definitely worth buying one of these if your kids are going through a lot of water. Mine come back in the kitchen and refill their water bottle. Which saves me money. No flavor. Which is preferred.

I like it
Its a little smaller than I expected but thats on me my only complaint is it does take a little while to filter and then there isnt much space so i would recommend getting a larger size if its more than one person

Takes 25 minutes to get 7 cups through this filter.
The spout cover does not open under pouring pressure. I have to open the spout by hand or water goes where you don't want it. It takes 25 minutes to fill 7 cups IF you give it your full attention,

Ok I guess
Seems like the filter is not holding up as long as I would like it too. I had the PUR faucet type before this one for about 10 years. But my girlfriend wanted a fancy faucet that doesnt accomodate a filter attachment so I had to go with the pitcher. Its a paint to wait for it to fill and do its thing. Its slow as heck. Then it doesn't hold alot of water in the upper fill up chamber. And so you got to fill it like 3 times every time you want to use it and its a pain. Then I am surprised how quickly the red change filter light came on. So not sure if I would recommend it.

Very Sturdy and Nicely Made
Very sturdy and nicely made. Difficult to figure out when the indicator light works ( it only works if you push the button to see the filter status as opposed to what I'd thought and hoped that it was show indicator status throughout its use without user needing to push a button). Better made than the container without the light indicator, still concerned about using plastic to store water. Wish they made this in a glass option.

Brita is better
I subscribe to Consumer Labs that is an independent lab that tests various supplements, etc. I wish I had read their review of water filter pitchers before I bought the Pur pitcher. From the study, both Pur and Brita do about the same job filtering lead, chlorine, etc., but the Brita long last filter lasts for 120 gallons versus only 40 for the Pur and isn’t much more expensive, so on a per cup basis Brita is half the cost of the Pur. Also, Brita had significantly less micro plastics in filtered water on initial filter use than Pur. Last, I’m not sure how the lid is on the Brita, but it could hardly be worse than Pur’s lid that doesn’t lock on and has to be held in place just to pour a glass of water — awful design. Bottom line, if I was doing it over I’d definitely go for Brita with their long last filter as it appears to be superior in every way.

Filtering is slower than other brands
I like the slim design to take up less room in the frig. It filters water slower but, if it is doing a better job, so be it
