Beats the heck out of my dads old massive therapy light, a lot better on the electric bill.

My late father suffered from psoriasis for years and tried a lot of things. The thing that worked best was a 400 Watt high intensity lamp that was about 10" X 14" and weighted about 20 pounds. I don't have that condition, but it's Winter time in Indiana which has a weak photo period even in the warmer months because of the cloud covers. Cabin fever is always ever present, especially when I stay home due to the risk of my falling in Winter time. I walk with a cane and don't move very fast so Winter is a dangerous time for me. It's also a depressing time with only lamps to light around the house. Only in my kitchen where I had a massive array of daylight fluorescent tubes put in about 5 years ago, but I can't stay there all day. This is easy to move around, is very bright and I can light the background of the room for watching TV or reading. It moves easily to my bedroom or the basement recreation center where I listen to music. After using it a week I can tell my activity level is up, I've not even indulged in my beloved video games as much. The light itself has timed settings and adjustable intensity and may even be brighter than my dads old massive light and it definitely uses a small fraction of the power that thing draws. If I tip it over I don't have to cringe that it might break as well, plus with LED technology it will likely last longer. When the filaments break on my dads old light I'll probably just throw it out. I love this, recommended, for therapy or just clear inside lighting.

Gives Healthy People a Bit of a Boost. Super Amazing!

This is so much more intense than I ever imagined. Likewise, it is smaller than comparable products I have seen. The smaller size is most welcome since I can use it in my office and not lose valuable real-estate on my desk. Now, my office does not have any natural light ... and I spend about five hours a day researching in my office. So, believe me when I say that I could use some sunlight, especially in these winter months. Now this device has varying warmth/coolness of light as well as varying intensities. I thought I could start on the highest setting ... I mean, why not? But wow! This device is the real deal (I think it could light up the whole world!) ... it was literally too much for me to handle. So, I scaled back the intensity and have happily been using the device since its arrival. I do, wholeheartedly, believe this is worth a try. The booklet is very very clear that this is for those in good mental health ... it is not a panacea for various illnesses. Instead, it is merely there to provide more exposure to true light. It can give healthy people a bit of a boost ... and that's pretty darn remarkable. (And, please, do read the book for contraindications. That is vital. It is clearly stated that this is not for use by those who suffer from cataracts, have had eye surgery, have bi-polar disorder, are taking malaria pills, are taking psychotropic medication, etc.) When used correctly by the correct people, this is phenomenal! To me, this is fantastic! Love it!

Great for hard, low-sun winters

We live in a hot, humid state, so when our son went off to school in upstate NY, we knew he'd surely miss the sun. What's more, I suffer from mild seasonal affective disorder, and I worried he might, too. That's where this handy little device comes in. He switches it on when he's reading or studying, and it makes him like he's getting a sunny slice of home. So, if you, too, suffer from SAD or just need a little more light to lift your brain fog, this device works wonders.

Small But Mighty

Despite what they say, it's not always sunny in California, especially lately, we have had days and days of much needed rain. I live on the third floor, as high as you can go, in a 107 unit apt complex. I have a regular patio door that faces the wall, and my living room window, mostly what I see is a huge palm tree that starts on the first floor. So it's great for privacy, but it's not so great when it comes to sun, which it gets pretty hot here in the Summer, but then I need very little heat in the Winter. It's true, heat rises. So I don't always get a lot of light coming into my apt, plus I do suffer from low energy. I really like this Pure Guardian Full Spectrum Energy Light. It's compact, so that it easily fits in most places. No bulbs to replace. A 5-30 minute timer. You can adjust the intensity of the light, but I wish they had included information/benefirs about white light versus blue light. Not having that I basically just set it to where the light was comfortable, not too dim or too bright. I like that you can just plug it into a wall socket. It's very easy to use. In the short time that i've been using it, several times a day, it has given me some much needed energy. So this Pure Guardian Full Spectrum Energy Light isn't just for Winter, it's also very beneficial in low light environments too.

No swivel leg, 30 minute timer, no steady on, and only a 30 min timer

I like the actual light and the size but the stand arm is in an awkward position and it’s designed to only sit horizontally. I have a small space and it would be much better if I was able to use the leg in a vertical position. The other major negative is that the timer is only for 30 minutes. My doctor suggested that for optimal medical relief that the light should be used for at least hour at a time and for as long as required during the day. The arthritis in my hands doesn’t like having to push the button and there’s no option for a steady on.

On peut programmer la minuterie, la force de la lumière et avoir le choix blanc ou bleu. J'adore qu'il soit petit, ca me permet de le transporter avec moi au travail, a la maison et l'utiliser facilement sur le divant, bureau etc. C'est un des meilleurs choix de protégez-vous. Et un des moins chers!

Amazing product

This has helped so much with my seasonal depression! Having the blue light on for a few hours a day has completely changed my mental health! Only complaint is the timer turns off after 30 minutes, but still a fantastic purchase
