Served it's purpose

It works well though it's not quite as sensitive as I would like. It does serve it's purpose as I use it for metal detecting to check whether the item I'm looking for is still in the hole or in the plug of dirt I have dug up.

Dependable

This is the second one I’ve bought, I lost the first one after 6 years of perfect service. I thought about buying a different model, but didn’t want to take a chance on a new brand when I knew this one would work fine and cost less.

useless

Useless; you are more likely to see the piece before this will detect it. The sensitivity adjustment goes from full false detection to not detecting a manhole cover, though actually in contact with it, in just the slightest turn. The best I could get it adjusted, was it would detect a manhole cover (>200 lbs of metal) when it was about a half inch or less from the surface. I tried other objects, trying to fine tune the sensitivity, but was never able to get a detection without being a half inch or closer to the object . . .

Didn’t work

The Pyle metal detector was either on and beeping as if it found metal or it was off. The sensitivity couldn’t be turned down, so it was not able to find anything. May have been defective. Returned and was reimbursed

Not worth it spend your money on something more reliable

It’s broken and the battery capsule became lose very quickly the water proof isn’t so water proof I could only put the tip in the water like less an a inch it or it would mess (it’s just really sensitive). The device itself when it was working was fine. But it’s your trying to take this hobby seriously invest in a more trustworthy one that will last for life. I wouldn’t recommend it. Spend 60 dollars for something bettee
