Flo-Torq SSR Solid Propeller Hub Kit 8M0101604 fits select Mercury 40-115 hp Command Thrust (CT) outboards and other Mercury FourStroke outboards up to 350 hp equipped with a 1" diameter propeller shaft used in high performance or surface piercing propeller operation applications. SSR hub kits are for most existing Quicksilver and Mercury interchangeable hub (Flo-Torq II, III and IV) propellers. The SSR hub utilizes Quicksilver's proven Soft-Shift rubber technology to prevent shifting noise, vibration and harshness. SSR technology provides 22-23% reduction in shift event noise virtually eliminating shift clunk. Installation is quick and easy with the Quicksilver floating prop wrench and Quicksilver Prop Block or common shop tools. 40 hp CT through 225 hp Mercury FourStroke outboards with 1" diameter propeller shafts used in general purpose and non-surface piercing propeller application installations use the SSR hub kit 8M0150152. 200 hp through 400 hp Mercury FourStroke outboards with 1.25" propeller shafts use the SSR HD hub kit 8M0101603. No More Clunk or engine rattle
I installed this hub on my Yamaha 200 4 Stroke with SS propeller and I no longer have the annoying Clunk when shifting between Neutral and Drive or Reverse which scares away the fish. I also had bad engine rattle at low RPM's while idling, a problem that a lot of 4 stroke outboards have and that is gone too. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I can tell you that it does work. I think it is quieter then my buddies boat who has a SDS Yamaha Propeller on his Big Yamaha. Stay safe out there.
