Rainbird high efficiency sprinkler

Perfect and excellent for watering my vegetable garden. It came with 180 degree pattern and all it needed to pop the head up and turn the collar round to achieve 360 degrees. The prime reason I purchased this is the flexibility of adjusting the pattern from 0 to 360 degrees. The price was much cheaper than HD. I recommend this to anyone.

Difficult to adjust.

Purchase a hunter and rain bird to install. After doing both I reorder 2 more hunter units. You can figure out which one I liked better. One is adjusted a lot easier than the other plus it was cheaper which I do not care about as much as the ease of adjusting.

This is 4" BODY, pop-ups another 2".

It's a 4" pop-up body with a 2" shaft. Why does it have to be so hard to decipher these things? I bought this, and the other 1802HEVN15 4" pop-up height model. BOTH list 6.6 as the dimension. The 1802HEVN15 BODY is clearly about 2" longer (what I needed). It's impossible to tell when the specs are the same! The previous installer buried one of the 4" body pop-ups so deep it's nearly impossible to find. I had to dig down quite a bit to get to it. I'll be replacing it with 1802HEVN15 for the additional height to bring the body more matched with the soil level. The pop-up height is largely irrelevant, when it retracts back down flush to the body is when it counts. Four stars for the indecipherable specs and description. Otherwise, perfect replacement for an actual 4" pop-up as you can adjust spray distance and direction.

This is a great product!

We have high water pressure and this pressure-regulated nozzle solved the misting problem. It lives up to the “high efficiency” claim and has a remarkably even 0 - 360 degree adjustable spray pattern. The 1804 pop-up spray head is easily adjustable, as well. I intend to replace all of my pop-up spray heads with 1804 HEVNPR heads. Also, some have commented that it doesn’t rotate, but it is not a rotor sprinkler. If you want a sprinkler head that rotates then buy one labeled “rotor” or “impact” such as the Rain Bird 42SA+, which I use to water large spaces. There are a lot of good sprinkler products for sale, but in my experience, you can’t go wrong with Rain Bird - it’s the best!

Almost as advertised

Was easy to install. The product came in perfect condition. It does what it is supposed to do. Luckily, I read the reviews and knew it would do what I needed it to do. It claims to spray 15 feet, it does not. I would say max 10 feet is what it sprays. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars, since it does not do as described.

Resolved high pressure/misting issue

Purchased this to swap out a current 1800 Rain Bird spray head that was getting too much water pressure, resulting in misting and ineffective watering of its area. It was super easy to swap out the internal components of the old with the new. I was so pleased that this was such an easy fix and did not require any digging! It does not rotate like the original spray head did, but it seems to very effectively water the area. I am purchasing another one to swap out another spray head we are having the same issue with!

Great for the money, but larger in diameter than the one it replaces

This unit works out well for me, but the diameter of the body is larger than the head I replaced, so I had to remove a bunch of dirt to install it. Mildly annoying. It also doesn’t project water as far as advertised, but that’s actually perfect for me because it’s going in a spot that needed less water anyways. Overall it’s good, I give it 5 stars because of the price.

Not happy

1). This product was ordered July 31st. Today, Aug 28th, I have still not received the item! 2). I have purchased this item before at a Home Depot in the USA for the Canadian equivalent of approximately $7.50. To get it through Amazon.ca it is costing me approximately $25. Obviously not good value for the cost. 3). I have installed this item before and it is quite easy. Although easy, I have had to wait for more than 4 weeks while that part of my garden does not get watered.

Didn't reach the minimum 8' for me

Sprinkler only reached about 5ft on a 2 sprinkler system with good water pressure being supplied. Had to pick up a different set of sprinkler to cover my lawn. Adjustment and hook up was easy though.

Cheap and functional.

I like this product, better than the Orbit ones I was buying at Home Depot. It is easy to set the pattern, and the sprinkler lines seem to come out reliably.
