Opened ended fun for children

I’m always looking for open ended children’s toys and this fit the bill. I think I might actually like this product more than my daughter! They are hard for her to “stack” on her own but I find it to be a very mindful practice. We use these to talk about color, size, and shape - I like the included cards to demonstrate things to create. These don’t hold her attention for long but I support her using them in a developmentally appropriate way, knowing that play will change over time. These are not wood, but rather a type of plastic (but they have a nice feel to them). Fun open ended toy!

Colorful design.

I bought these for my grandson, but also myself as I loved the colors and design. What fun to reproduce the examples on the enclosed cards, as well as make some of your own. Nice to have a great storage box included! The "pebbles" are soft enough that you don't have to worry about injury.

Cute

For some reason, I thought that these were real panted stones. I like these better for the age group that I work with. They are rubbery, so if they are thrown they won't hurt anyone. Also, easy to clean in the sink and bleach if needed. The price is reasonable for the stones and pattern cards.

Such a cool toy with opportunity for open-ended play

Bought this for a gift, but my son wanted them so bad when they arrived that I had to buy a second one for the other kid! Haha! Both kids love these, a 4yr old and a 2.5yr old... but don’t think I don’t find myself stacking the pebbles and playing with them when I need a moment to destress from the crazy news all around us. They come in a nice box that keeps them all contained with the cards. A great gift or toy for a cool kid in your life!

Makerspace Station

Added these items to our makerspace area of our library. Students love to use them to create many different things. From Cairnes to creature and everything in between. The fact that they are a hard plastic makes them easily sanitized and durable.

Nice set, but not actual rocks

We think these will be great for our 2yo niece. She certainly opened them right up—the little box is quite handy—and got busy stacking and sorting. They aren’t rocks, though. The name pebbles got me and I didn’t realize they were rubber (plastic??) of some kind.

Kids LOVE it

I bought one of these to try out and my kids loved it so much I bought a second one- ya they’re exactly the same but now one kid can make something and have all the pieces they need. Highly recommend for problem solving skills

Great for colorful, creative play

I love these. They are so smooth and the stacking is CHALLENGING (even for me, the adult here...) but in a fun way, not in an "I immediately give up and never want to play again" way. The cards are high quality and a good mix of patterns, stacking, and pictures. I have found that the cards are really great for jump-starting my daughter's imagination and she kind of just goes from there!
