Tube leaks from the rear, very messy...
I cut the nozzle, put it on the caulking gun, squeezed the trigger and material just oozed out the back. I ended up using my fingers with gloves to scoop up the silicone from the bottom of the tube and put it on my fireplace instead. Will know more once it's fully cured tomorrow. I just wish that the product will work as intended with the gun instead of fingers. Maybe Red Devil will send me another tube with better construction

perfect for hvac
sealed up some duct work that was close to the furnace. I dd not want ugly metal tape so used this. stuff stinks to high hell so use in well vented area. seals up good and holds up to heat.

Good caulking!
Went on as should,as I use to caulk around air leaks in ductwork

Don't compare to caulk.
I bought this as a last resort when trying to seal a dishwasher installation. Now I use it for a lot of things for which I previously would have used silicone caulk. Installing glass in a bookcase frame. Sealing plywood panel in an exterior door. I will use it instead of caulk in many applications.

This stuff is strong
I had to build a custom exhaust ducting for a range hood to fit into some odd spacing. This involved attaching several pieces together. I used this sealant for the transitions and to fill in any transition gaps inside to try to reduce noise as the air from the range hood went through the duct. It is really strong stuff. A couple words of caution 1) do this outside. It really does smell strong 2) wear rubber gloves and long sleeves. This stuff is extremely hard to get off of your skin and especially hair in your arms.

Can withstand very high heat.
Burning only oak, which has an extremely high temperature, one of our glass panels shattered on the fireplace. we replaced and used this silicon to install. It's held fast and given no problems for the two years since.

Takes the heat and stops the leak.
I used this for sealing the joints on new flue vent assemblies and elbows for a high efficiency commercial boiler and it has performed as well as anticipated. It has gone through the heating season and appears to be holding up well with no leaks or signs of peeling or erosion. This sealant is not recommended for applications where the temperature is higher than 400 deg. F, such as flues for wood stoves or older type furnaces where a lot of heat was wasted up the flue. I also used some to form a section to replace some broken oven door gasket and it worked out. I intend to also use use it for HVAC vents and ducts.

looks like a quality product. But functionality remains to be seen

Perfect for repairs where heat is a consideration
Exactly what we needed to fix new LED bulbs placed into recessed lights. The bulbs don’t sit quite the same as the original halogens so tended to “drop” out of the trim ring. This worked great to fix the problem as the area behind the lens of the bulb is quite hot. A couple of small dabs of this and they stay in place nicely.
