It's a drop in replacement

Let's admit, the stock shock towers are TERRIBLE. I ordered this because every time I jump my tornado epx pro, the shock towers bend. It's a drop in replacement, and is about 1-1.5mm thicker, so will be more durable, and not bend as much. It is a little bit larger, but still fits and works very well. Also looks a lot better with the carbon fiber pattern. I would recommend getting the front shock tower as well, especially if you jump your rc a lot.

I liked the idea of carbon fiber

I liked the idea of carbon fiber, but it was much more brittle than the cheaper aluminum tower. The carbon fiber snapped in half when a hit a stake in the ground going 1/2 speed. I have gone faster into a hard surface and only had to bend the aluminum back in place. I expected more, especially since I paid quite a bit more for this as opposed to the aluminum equivalent. The order was handled quickly and correctly, though.
