Cheaper than a barber

Has an attachment for just about everything and lasts about a year before the battery dies. With a bit of practice it's way cheaper than paying for a haircut.

nice small trimmer shaver

I have one of these going on about 6 or 7 years it actually still works I bought this one just to have a backup I find it very nice compact handy shaver trimmer has decent battery run time. The tray that comes with it now is a bit awkward the older original tray was much nicer other than that same exact shaver trimmer

My husband raves about this one!

I literally spent HOURS & HOURS comparing groomer models and brands before buying this one for hubby for Xmas. Almost didn’t buy it because it didn’t charge on the stand. But it had everything else he wanted so I took a chance. Hot damn. He loves it! It’s now Feb. 28 and he’s still on the charge he gave it Xmas morning. No lie! He’s amazed and happy. I’m gloating. Happy hubby, happy wife! Or is it the other way around?

Non-replaceable battery doesn't hold a charge, and won't work when plugged in!

I bought this trimmer a little over a year (about 14 months) ago. I've only used it sparingly, and already the battery won't hold a charge; I get about 30 seconds of runtime before it dies. This might be okay if I could just used it plugged in, but this trimmer has a pretty fatal flaw: when it's turned on, even while it's plugged in, it only uses the battery to power the trimmer. The battery is not replaceable, so it's effectively garbage. What the heck, Remington?? I'll be switching to another brand. UPDATE: I just opened the plastic casing on the trimmer to see if I could replace the battery, and much to my dismay, the battery is SOLDERED in. UGH. Down with "disposable" products! I've taken another star off my rating.

No instructions, no online videos

Ordered this during the Covid crises so I could cut my hair. So this was my first time buying a trimmer, I thought this would fit the bill since it appeared to be an all-in-one device (trimmers for hair, beard, body hair, etc.). However, although there was a tiny booklet from Remington that showed you what should be in the box, there was nothing in the way of instructions. Nor could I find any detailed online videos on YouTube. There's nothing on the Remington site. This wasn't the type of product I wanted to 'experiment' with, so I returned it. I'll try another brand, hopefully one that comes with instructions.

Really great, if only that storage tray didn't suck!

First let me say I'm very happy with the trimmer and it's accessories. Everything works as intended. I'd say thre mini foil shaver head is the weakest of the accessories. Only really useful for touching up spots you missed with your razor. The trimmer head is excellent and teeth are sized just right to work well on everything from fine eyebrow hair to coarse beard hairs. The adjustable cut guard is nicely integrated and works well. The other accessories work as expected. Being splashable it's easy to clean and the battery lasts forever. My only complaint is that the storage tray that comes with it is completely, utterly useless. Nothing fits well and it dosen't hold up to even minor vibrations let alone bumps and knocks. You'll end up storing the whole kit in a cheapo plastic basket or medium freezer bag. Other than that, I love it. I've never been so consistently well groomed. I can just grab it whenever and do quick touch ups on my mustache, beard, and whatever bits of hair are out of line that day. Quick rinse, boom I'm done in less than a minute or two. I looked at more expensive units and I'm glad I tried this first. Recommended.

You get what you pay for.

The trimmer head on this unit is powerful enough, but only for light trimming use. If you are going to trim a full beard, get a full size trimmer. The large trimmer that comes attached to the unit works pretty well, but the other trimmer attachments work rather mediocre, but they do work with several passes. The worst thing about this unit is the brittle fragile plastics used in the guards. The clear double comb for the main trimmer cracked the first time I put it on and the others appear just as fragile! If you just need the main trimmer, and can use it without the guards you should be satisfied. My advice, spend more and get a better quality product. Disappointed here.

Does the job.

I used to have a smaller version of this one which was battery powered and not rechargeable. That one was almost 0 gapped. This is a larger version of that one. It is definitely not 0 gapped. I use it for small jobs like trimming my beard or lining up my beard and hair. It works. Cleaning them is always annoying as hair gets under the blades. All in all I like it. Has a good weight - feels good in hand. Doesnt feel cheap. I never used the attachments but Im sure theyre all fine considering the machine runs great.
