Sleek design, quick brew
I love Russell Hobbs products - both the function and design of this coffeemaker meet my expectations of the brand. One slight issue = the timer for the heating element shuts off after just 40 minutes. Would love to have the capability of setting the timer or a 'keep warm' button. Other than that, great purchase. Bought two in fact.

Good Value
This makes good coffee. First cup perfect temperature. Very attractive and small footprint. Glass pot is designed well and easy to clean. Features are as described. Then lid on the reservoir is not hinged, which is a bit inconvenient. We replaced our Bonavita which died because we never cleaned it. We didn’t get another Bonavita because new model has a fragile-looking glass handle that I don’t think will survive here. Also like being able to get a cup of coffee without having to empty the grounds first. I recommend this pot over the Bonavita and save some money.

Took a few grind settings to get it right
This is a good coffee maker. It took us drinking a lot of bad coffee to get it right with this. Grind to too course and the coffee tastes awful. Grind it too fine and the flavor is delicious but the coffee mud at the bottom is too significant. We found a middle ground grind that seems to strike a good balance. I wish that the programmable morning setting would have a memory function so we didn't have to manually set it the time each night but it is nice to come down to hot coffee.

Looks great and makes good coffee
I’m puzzled by the negative comments of some reviewers. I find that the coffee flavor varies jwith the bean and amount of grounds used. It looks great on the counter, It’s easy to use and clean, the controls are easy to understand, and it tells me when it needs to be cleaned. The coffee is brewed fast, hot, and it is not louder than other pots I’ve owned. I am using a paper filter instead of the metal one for a slower brew for taste. Maybe six more inches on the 24-inch cord would be important to some buyers. The 40-minute automatic turn off is no problem for me in a pot that only makes 8 cups.

Product Cleaning
I bought a Russell Hobbs Glass Series 8-Cup Coffeemaker, Black & Stainless Steel, CM8100BKR in July 2022. In order to run the glass pot through the dishwasher, I'd have to pop the lid off. A few days ago when I did that, the lid snapped and broke right about where the tab are that lets you raise and lower the lid. Called the number I found for Russell Hobbs in hopes of getting a replacement lid. I was told the model I bought was discontinued. I understand that happens. I was also told the the lid wasn't intended to be taken off. Why would a company make a coffeemaker with a pot that the lid isn't supposed to be taken off? Removing the lid was the only way the pot would fit into the dishwasher. Russell Hobss needs to take that into considerartion on future models.

Russell hobs coffee maker
The coffee maker unfortunately has a cord that is very short. This is so inconvenient for the kitchen countertops because the coffee maker is very tall and won't fit under cabinets. I hope that the manufacturer will make a longer cord as less than 20" is way too short. Very disappointing.

Clean looking Machine
Brews just like a standard brewing machine. The graduated scale in the reservoir makes setting the water level consistent. It is probably one of the loudest brewers I've owned, will wake your housemates if you're an early bird. It sounds like the typical "finishing" sound from start to finish, in fact, it's one of the first things I noticed. The coffee comes out hot and the warmer keeps it that way until it shuts off automatically, which is a nice feature. Another negative is that it does not have any memory for the times you enter, so when you unplug it, the machine will loose the time. You will have to reprogram your time every time it is unplugged. The machine also forces you to clean it every 60 brewing cycles. Manual suggest to run a water/vinegar brew. Haven't gotten into the maintenance cycle at this time.

awesome and annoying
Yes and no. PROS: We had all types of coffee makers from French press to old fashion drip and percolators. Never hot enough or robust enough. - Very fast drip! - Extra hot temp/ hubby likes - Decanter doesnt leak out the sides when pouring - Shorter auto shut-off time, so coffee that is warming doesnt burn CONS: - Seriously? There is no water measure line on the glass decanter, only on the maker, so I find myself walking back-and-forth to the sink trying to fill the machine to the cup count I want. - Machine is tall. While it slides under my cabinets just fine, I have to pull it out to open the filter area and water port, then I push it back under my cabinets on the countertop - Cup/water fill line on machine is on the side of unit, so you have to make sure you can see onthat side when filling - CUP SIZE is larger than the standard measure of 1Tablespoon. This machine is 1.5 per cup, so we go through a lot of coffee grounds and I had to draw a line on my measure scoop for 1.5. I’m giving it 4stars, because it’s turbo fast and coffee is extra hot. But no fill line on the glass pot is extremely annoying.
