Excellent product

I really love most Sashco products (not their deck stain). All their caulks and chinking (for log homes) is outstanding. Their Transformation wood stain is also fantastic, but beware, they change the color formulation without notifying you, so could be very different if you buy it two different times.

After a lot of research I sided with this product for our baseboards and door jambs before painters did their magic. I've never done this job before, but a few youtube videos and four sore fingers later im almost an expert. I can't honestly give a product comparison to other brands on the market, but i was happy with the result I achieved with this brand. I didn't encounter and bad tubes in the case i bought. It went on smooth and cleaned up well. I did the caulking two months prior to the painters arriving. Granted, two months isn't long enough for any major settling to occur, but the painters said there were no pulled apart joints or seams.

I GIVE IT 3 STARS ONLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T RECIEVE THE CORRECT ITEM. WE PURCHASED THIS CAULK BECAUSE IT IS A GREAT BRAND AND WORKS WELL, SO REVIEW DOES NOT MESN ITEM IS BAD, GREAT ITEM, BUT BAD ADVERTISING AND SOMEONE IN YHE PACKAGING CENTER MESSED UP. FIRST THE PHOTOS SHOW WHITE CAULK, THIS IS IN FACT BLACK, BUT I DID NOT GET WHITE LIKE THE MISLEADING PHOTO, NOR BLACK LIKE THE NAME, I GOT CLEAR. IN THE PROCESS OF RETURNING THIS ITEM, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY EASY SINCE IT IS AN AMAZON SHIPPED ITEM.

Once you go with Big Stretch...

It’s a lot more than standard caulk, but this stuff does not crack, does not split, and is easier to use than regular caulk.

Best Caulk Ever

This is a great product and the company was also helpful when I called them for help. This caulk feel nothing like caulk and is so easy to apply. Check out Sashco website for all their color choices. I bought cases of black, white and iron. All worked perfectly.

I am a second generation Home Builder and I am glad to find big stretch on Amazon as I order lots of single items that are needed in a hurry thru Prime. I see that as of writing this review that several colors of Big Stretch are available from Amazon. Let me begin by saying that Sashco is a great company. They have been making quality products for many years. Their entire line of professional caulks and sealants are top of the line. I am very comfortable having their products used on my jobs. No one likes call backs, from the Contractor to the client. They cost money and time. Most of my painters use professional caulks that you will not find at big box stores, and for a reason. Most of the DIY caulks will shrink over time. I had some crown molding on a project we did a couple of years ago, develop cracks between the ceiling and crown. It took a full year for that to develop, but it was in a home that had insulating, heating/cooling and humidity issues. Later I found out that the caulk used was not a pro brand. It really looked bad seeing all those cracks and pulling away caulking in an otherwise highly detailed and otherwise flawless job. The old caulk had to be removed and new caulk and paint applied. I paid for that trim finishing three times. The first time, the second to remove, and the third to fix. Needless to say we went back with big stretch. *** It may be a little more expensive up front, but it may be much less expensive given time and circumstance.....*** Do it right the first time and Do it once. This is a professional product being available to consumers. You won't be disappointed. This is my high end go to caulk when conditions are extreme and results need to be guaranteed. Five stars easy. *** Update August 2016 - This is still my favorite all purpose caulking. Still going strong. No call backs on cracked caulk joints. Happy clients makes me happy too.
