This security bar will exceed your expectations!

I read reviews but rarely submit them. However, with the SecurityMan security bar, I had to pass on my total satisfaction with the product. I started out with a competitor’s security bar and the 2032 battery failed after a little over three months. When I tried to replace the battery, the metallic hinged cover was so flimsy that it lost it’s shape and failed to make proper contact to activate the alarm. I called their customer service and was informed the unit had a 90 warranty and I had purchased it 93 days prior. I went back to Amazon to research a security bar with a different battery setup and found my SecurityMan security bar. There are three main features that I love about this security bar: 1. The battery is a more robust 9V battery that is a cinch to replace. 2. The controls are a separate unit from the bar itself and have color coded push buttons with distinctive beeps to engage or disengage the unit. 3. And finally, my SecurityMan security bar has a one year warranty which extends to a two year warranty when you register with SecurityMan within 14 days. The security of my home is extremely important to me and my SecurityMan security bar lets me sleep better every night.

This Is My Second One!

I moved and forgot the other one behind the front door lol! I was so mad but I had another one in only a coulple of days! I dont use the alarm part because I live in a apartment buiding and when other people slam there doors the alarm was going off. So I just use the stick and it does the trick! Thanks for this product it helps me feel safe and I love it!

Alarm sound

Looks like it's a decent product. Is to setup. But the description states alarm sound level @ 120 db. But when I turned alarm off or if I move the rod, alarm beeps. It's so low I can barely hear that in another room. If there is any intrusion, how can I hear that in the upstairs bedroom. I hope someone will contact me. Isn't it a deceiving advertisement. I don't know whether I will return it or not.

A little big

I have a door that's original to my home and it's pretty tall (84 inches). I had to make this bar as small as possible to fit correctly and that forced me to put the alarm mechanism on the wider bar, which as a person with not a lot of upper body strength, took some maneuvering. I had to do the same for the bar I got for my sliding door. I've been using this bar on my kitchen and sliding door daily for a month. Both bars as still doing their job but they feel loose now after a month of use. It works though.

Perfect, and adjustable

I used this for my patio sliding door that does not lock. The length is easily customizable, and you can use the door stopper or not. I am laying mine flat so I put the two pogo like ends on it. Feeling safer because of this item.
