SMEAD IS A SUPERB BRAND. I AM A FAN OF "REDROPES"! THESE ARE HEAVY DUTY.

When I worked in offices, we used "Redropes," first legal-sized and then letter-sized. I became "addicted" to them and now use them during my retirement years for files at home. Yes, I have filing cabinets and have not yet gone 100% paperless! Online shopping is the best. There is no way I would drive to an office supply store to purchase expandable file pockets. Again, SMEAD is a superb brand.

Nostalgia

I remember this type folder from my school days. Some of the teachers toted them around. I especially remember the librarian with an armload of them, making her look so important in my young eyes. Just through daily recordings of stuff I find on my home comp, I collect an abundance of papers that I don't care to sift through and discard. These folders have helped solve my disarray. I have placed them in a gold metal wire desk file organizer made by U Brands that I found on Amazon. It's a hanging file but I like it on my desktop. At present, I've put 4 folders in it and it has room for more depending how full folders are, of course. --These pocket folders were very inexpensive for so many folders. They look nice and the only thing I may like a bit different would be the color. I am a linen fanatic. Would love to have these in a linen/oatmeal color. But not complaining; I'm very happy with these.

Just what I needed for household manuals

For years, I've kept all household manuals in hanging files and when trying to find something...have to wade through all of them. Often, we haven't had the items for years. While these won't completely fix the problem of discarding old manuals, our current manuals are organized in easy to pick up folders based on groups. The quality and sturdiness of the file pockets are good and will last years!

Sturdy and Roomy

This is a sturdy yet roomy empty file folder to hold other files in an organized fashion. It keeps my files together nicely and compact. It would be nice if there was some kind of closure but an elastic/silicone band did the trick for me. The top does not close as it "appears" in the picture; it simply stays upright to protect your files inside this product. Price is a bit expensive but it is cheaper here than in a retail store. I would buy again and would recommend.

Better cost and a nice fit.

The Smead File pocket folders were not completely what I expected, however they will hold up quite well. I had thought they were wider, therefore holding more volume. They were exactly what I had purchased at another store, yet I had paid more and only got 3 instead of 10. They will fit in my file cabinet quite nicely! So in actuality I am sastisfied as always with my purchase from Amazon.

Received what I ordered.

I looked at this item, decided to purchase it. It was delivered before the actual deliver by date. They are very sturdy and were exactly what I thought I was ordering. Also the value per item was excellent.

Sturdy for Document Storage

Just the right size to group tax papers each year. There are cheaper pocket files but they are not stable enough to hold several papers without ripping. These Smead pockets will last.
