SMALL ITEM does a great job.

While walking through a dark room, barefooted, my foot kicked a table leg which injured my second toe. After nursing my toe for a couple of weeks and wrapping it with any thing I could find, I remembered using an item I had purchased in a drug store to use on an injured finger. I looked for a similar or like product in all the local drug and supply areas in our small city and found nothing available. Next step was to go on line to AMAZON.com and try to come up with a description of what I was looking for. I think I typed in, "a padded tube to fit over over small toe's." Bingo...up comes, "Silipos Gel Toe Tube", in a pkg.of two. This item is a winner. Included in the pkg. was a card with a couple of suggestions for getting the best results, like taking them off for several hours each day and to wash them when soiled. Very happy with this product

Contaminated inside package! Wrote detailed message with photos, but no reply from maker.

One of the packages I received had contamination sealed inside with the product. I wrote to Maddak over three weeks ago, including the following in my message: "I recently bought the Gel Toe Tubes pictured below in their unopened package. What are the contaminants sticking to the product and in the package? They are weird and dirty looking and some pieces are hairy. The elongated smooth tan objects look like some kind of larva or seed." They never responded. On the positive side these work to fix a problem with one of my toes, and I have been buying and using them for some time now. I have to give them a couple of stars for that. But on the negative side, I think they are very expensive for two short pieces of tubing, and wish that somebody else would compete with them. This weird contamination, and the fact that they never replied when I took the trouble to photograph and document the problem to them, pushes me over the edge to write a review more critical than not. One of the photos I sent them, of the product still inside the transparent unopened bag, is attached to this review.

Good, but too short

I have a slightly misaligned toe (smal one), so when I play sports, it gets rubbed on the side of the shoes, and it is very painful. I have been using the toe gel cushions (I buy from milesKimball). I though, I would give it a try on these ones, and I bought these cushions, and they are good, but they keep shrinking after every use. After wearing few times, it is shrunk to a point where it only covers half the toe. As soon as I start moving, the cushions comes off the toe, and it is uselss. Even if I tape, it still covers only about half the toe. I would give it five stars, if the length doesn't shrink or the product sold was longer.

The right size and I can only find them on Amazon

My wife uses these to relieve the pain from a corn on her toe, as recommended by her podiatrist. We cut them to length and each package yields 6 tubes for her. They are of excellent quality and provide the pain relief that she needs. These are not available in this package size at any of our local pharmacies. If you can find them at all, they only come one to a package, in a shorter length and and a considerably higher price. (I live in suburban Southern California, so if I can't find them, it's got to be really tough for people living in smaller cities or towns.) Here is another example of the value of Amazon; items that you need and just can't find in a local store are available online. Amazon-affiliated retailers are able to fill a need by leveraging the economies of scale and nationwide reach that Amazon provides.

These Deliver exactly as Promised - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These straightforward, simple, little guys are great! No more need to use band-aids as support around arthritic toes before a long walk or to avoid wearing certain shoes for fear of that obnoxious and painful toe "twanging" (Those who experience this will know what I mean! :) ). The Gel Toe Tubes are very elastic, fitting any of my toes. They can be trimmed if too long, but I have not needed to do that. They stay exactly where they are put, providing excellent "all around" cushion, and are very comfortable. As an added bonus and complete surprise to me, they eliminated that "twanging" that happens in a couple of toes if I wear the wrong shoes. I have not had them long so I don't know how they will hold up to daily use. They seem sturdy and are easily washable. These are just great! I highly recommend. I highly recommend.

Buyer Beware

These appear to be of good quality and I'll use them. They're similar to others I've purchased. However, the package I received contained two 1.25 inch (I measured) tubes. The picture looks like you can cut them, and others mentioned getting different size tubes, so I was surprised that this is all I received. I wouldn't have ordered them if I had known that. However, they will work just fine until my toe heals.

Product is good but costs too much

These are so overpriced. Let me clear - this is a good product and there was NO bad advertising by this company. I just figured the tubes had to be longer for the money. I was wrong. I paid ~$14 for 2 sets of 2 tubes. These things are about 11/2 inches long. I can buy 4, 6 inch tubes elsewhere for $20.00 Hmm, 6 inches of tubing for $14 for 24 inches for $20.00. I won't buy product again. I will continue to use a footwear on-line catalog instead.

they’re awfully small.

These tubes look like they would work well for persons with really skinny toes or who had no problems using lots of energy just pulling and wiggling them onto a toe. I have arthritis and fairly normal sized toes and if these are large, well then all of “normal” folks have huge feet. They are also quite short - I think it would be possible to get 2 out of a tube, perhaps.
