Perfect Storage!!
This is actually my 2nd iron/iron board holder. I bought a second iron and iron board, one upstairs and one downstairs. It’s great not having to lug the board up and down the stairs. This wall mounted rack neatly stores the iron and board and looks good too!! It’s very strong and sturdy.

What I liked: This thing is HUGE
The media could not be loaded. Large and Handy! I did a ton of research on different hanging iron holders. I gravitated to this one as it has the metal plate on the back so that you can put a hot iron in the basket. I do a lot of reviews for Amazon that the item is purchased discounted for my evaluation of the product. This is NOT one of those items. I did purchase this full price and wanted to do a video review so you the consumer, can get an idea of what you’d be purchasing; site unseen. What I liked: This thing is HUGE. I have a pretty large iron and it fits the iron, a can of starch and still has plenty of room. I need to get creative and figure out what else to put in there. It also holds my Y shaped ironing board with some manipulation of the handles. Again, the feature that had me was the metal back plate. I tend to forget to turn off an iron and now, I can put it in here and let it shut off automatically and not have to worry about anything burning or melting. They give you all the hardware to get this hung. My husband used a power screwdriver and had it hanging in about 10 minutes. He did not struggle to get the bottom screws in. I did read the other reviews prior to purchasing and we just did not have this problem. Maybe the power screwdriver was the difference, who knows. What I did not like: I can’t seem to find a thing not to like. If that changes, you have my promise I’ll come back and update my review.

Versatile, Roomy, Sturdy and Well Made.
First off, it fits my new Rowenta DW 8080 iron, which is large. I had an old Rubbermaid iron holder, but the Rowenta won't fit. The Spectrum will easily hold the iron, facing in either direction, as well as the accessory measuring cup, and a small spray bottle. Of course, it also supports the ironing board. The basket is 13" tall, by 11" wide, and has a maximum depth of about 7.75 inches. The wire mesh is 1/2 inch on center, with holes about 3/8 inch wide. Installation is easy, IF you have a #2 Phillips screwdriver with an 8" shaft, available at Home Depot for $7. The top two screws are easy to install with any #2 Phillips screwdriver. To get to the bottom two screws, you need a driver that will go through the square basket weave of the unit, and reach the back, which is almost 8" away. The holes are only 1" from the outer edges, so a socket set may not work from within the basket. A socket driver might work from outside the basket if the shaft has a diameter no greater than 3/8 inch, maybe 7/16, to go through the mesh. I mounted my Spectrum Basket onto a wooden surface, so turning the screws took a little effort. If you use the included wall anchors, and have good hand strength, you might be able to tighten the bottom screws by reaching into the basket from the top, and using a stubby #2 Phillips screwdriver however, I recommend using an 8" long screwdriver. The long shaft will give you a lot of torque, and the screws will turn in easily.

actually EASY to install IF you know what you're doing.
I do fault the company for not including installation instructions as it may not be so obvious how this thing is supposed to go up for the less mechanically inclined. My husband and I are both engineers and we even had to sit and stare at the pieces for a few minutes before we figured it out. All of the reviewers claiming that the bottom holes are laid out such that it was impossible to screw them in through the mesh missed something ... you're not actually supposed to screw anything into the bottom holes. Instead you are to screw the two hooks that actually hold the ironing board into the wall first. (make sure you measure twice and mark your distances to get spacing right!) ... then you slide the bottom holes of the basket over the metal peg on each hook (not the screw) and push down to secure. Once this is done you can simply screw in your top holes (easily accessed) and be done with it. Once in place this is a great product. It keeps our fairly bulky ironing board off the floor and nearly flush with the wall (it doesn't stick out much at all!). The basket is also very roomy, but not so huge that it looks awkward or prevents us from accessing other things in our laundry room. I still think it's a little overpriced for what it is (hence 4 stars), but it works phenomenally.

Good Enough
--- Description --- The basket's metal cage is too flexible; it bends too easy, but can be easily fixed by bending it back into shape. The basket has plenty of space to hold an iron and other items. The rest of the item is OK and serves its purpose. --- Installation --- It did not come with any installation booklet. The only installation "tip" it has is printed on the sticker attached to the basket wall. The tip indicates to install it on wood; I believe that most people are installing this on an actual wall. The 2 top screws can be easily accessed for installation. However, the 2 bottom screws are difficult to get to because the metal cage gets in the way of any power drill or typical screwdriver you may use. You'd either have to use a very long screwdriver, 90-degree power dill, or something similar to install the bottom screws. I'd recommend just installing the 2 top screws; the included screws are wide, come with plastic anchors, and should allow the item to get a good grip on the wall and support the weight of the iron + board + misc items. If you're really concerned about the weight being held by the item, then either install it on a wall stud or buy some good screw anchors. The picture shows it installed with all 4 screws, for holding a T-design iron board. To hold a Y-design board, you just need to install the 2 top screws and allow the bottom hook arms to swivel. I actually only installed the 2 top screws anyway for my T-design board; it helps that I used a wall stud for one of the screws. Total installation time: 15 minutes.
