Fun, no net, easy setup, good quality!

These have become my fiancee and my favorite travel/backyard game. All that's needed are the rackets and the speeders. The speeders are incredibly satisfying to hit (they whistle while they fly!) The rackets are light and sturdy. The bag they come in is convenient (fits both rackets and had a shoulder strap.) The 3 speeders that come with set are the perfect combination for starting out. The "fun speeder" (shortest range) is good for smaller spaces and practicing aim. The "match" speeder has great range and is extremely satisfying to hit. (It flies far and whistles a bit when you hit it well.) The "night" speeder seemed like a silly gimmick at first, but it's great when you're trying to play at twilight. (It's impossible to lose track of a glowing speeder.) Even if you don't use the night speeder's glow sticks, it works well as a backup match speeder. The "wind ring" is good for its advertised purpose (stabilizing the speeder during windy conditions), but it's also good for adding a bit of range to the fun speeder. (On its own, the fun speeder can be tricky since there's less range/time to react.) The rackets are great quality and well worth the price tag. The frame is light and sturdy. They're well-strung. The handles are extremely comfortable and have weathered copious amounts of hand sweat so far. This is a great set and a fun game. The best part is how easy it is to say, "Hey, want to play a few rounds?" Just grab the rackets and a speeder, head outside, and you're ready to go!

missing items twice

we ordered this twice because we had so much fun with the first set. we didn't know the first set must've been used because it didn't arrive in the same packaging as the second set. we also didn't know we were missing pieces on both sets until we looked at the picture and description again. The first set was missing a birdie, weight ring, instructions and the glow sticks. The second set was missing the glow sticks. Each time the boxes were unsealed. It's ok since we ordered more glow sticks and birdies but would have been nice to know we were getting one used set and one incomplete set.

Good Value for Money

I live in area where normally there is a medium breeze hence Badminton was out of equation. Got this speedminton instead and its super fun. Value for money. You can attach the wind ring on the back of the speeder and it works out well where there is mild to medium breeze. The most fun part is can play at night as well by connecting speed lights to the speeder. Works for all age however its more fun for 8 and above.

Great change-up on standard badminton

Just FYI, we are 65 and 63 years old so may not reflect the same view as those much younger than us. Some have noted that they enjoy using without a net. We tried with and without net and much more enjoy using with our badminton net. We were able to volley, back and forth, much longer and hit with more force with these "Speedminton" rackets than with standard badminton rackets. It was just a more confident swing and volly with these. Even though we both felt that we were hitting with more force, we did not notice that the birdie went any further. It was just a more confident hit and felt more tennis like in the swing. We very much like these.

Better than badmitten

Rackets are tennis racket durable. Birdies are better qaulity too. Yea they fly farther but honestly it's more fun. I still use a net.. but these are better in every way to everything else.

Absolutely fantastic!!!!

Absolutely fantastic, deserves more than 5 star for the quality and fun that comes along with it. It's combination of badminton and tennis because of the long range of the birdies .Designed outdoor places such as beaches and parks where lot's of space is needed. Can be played in windy conditions also. What a fun to play this sport pure fun n magic

Really fun, made for long range, great quality

These are a lot of fun, but they’re not the easiest thing to master! The biggest problem is that they need a lot of space. We got them during the Covid 19 lockdown so space was definitely at a premium! And it often is, it’s not a game for a smaller yard, it’s a game for a park or the beach and not a crowded place. We lost our first birdie on the roof of the house the first time I hit it. To be fair, we didn’t realize how much difference the ranges were. They’re colour coded for range and pay attention to that! It’s possible to play with the short range ones in a yard. They go really far and high! It would be nice if for the value for money If they included more short range birdies. They come in a nylon bag that is cheaply made, but tidy and fairly durable. It holds Both racquets. It’s a nice set and a lot of fun! It’s well made, seems durable and I wish we had the space to let them fly as far as their range would let them because that would be some serious fun !!

What a riot

What a riot.... way better than badminton. The various birdies weigh different amts. depending on the distance and speed you want them to go! We bought the Heli Speeder birdies, which are our favourite. They allow us to play a great intense game in a small area, unlike other birdies which would fly a greater distance. Solid set. It took awhile to get here but that’s ok. I’m not sure why this never took off in Canada, very popular in the US. Would highly recommend... good for young an old alike. You don’t even need a court, we use cones or are yard edging as the court, no net, no set up or take down. You can also play in the wind!!!

Great family fun

Love this set! We had to shorten the size of the court for our backyard, but the game is quite flexible and so much fun. We all had a good workout! Racquets are quite sturdy and easier to use than badminton racquets. Highly recommend for all ages.

This is fun!!

Light, fun and easy to play. We took the racquets to city parks. Great way to spend a leisurely afternoon. I look at people playing outdoor badminton and I feel sorry for them. LOL.
