Good quality and good fit for traxxas slash

So the only issue I have had with this kit is the power button cover came off. Now I need to use a pointed object to turn it on. The variability of using 2s or 3s lipo batteries is nice. It really makes the slash really fast on 3s. The power button is my biggest complaint.

HUGE, huge upgrade

My Maverick Quantum XT started it's life on a brushed motor, which was ok at best on S2 LiPo batteries. After about 2 weeks of owning it, the motor and esc burned up. I used it as an excuse to upgrade to brushless. My first attempt was with a Hobbywing Xerun Juststock setup, and it was disappointing. It actually made my stadium truck slower than it was on the brushed setup. But then the Spektrum Firma setup showed up, and holy crap!!! It was well worth what I paid. Thing is a bully on 2S. So much to the point, that I ended up blowing out a driveshaft lol. Can't wait to see what this monster does on 3S. I think I'm gonna stay with Spektrum Firma stuff for a while, behind this.

Disappointed

It has a lot of hesitation starting from a stop. Itt doesn't matter what pinion gear I have on it always does it. 3-5 seconds before it goes and at that point it's all three way on in order to get it to go so is wants to back flip. Once moving it meet expectations.

Very pleased with purchase. Good upgrade combo for going brushless. Got it running on Lipo 3S!

Decided to go brushless on my Arrma Infraction Mega. This combo delivers a punch! truck is way too fast now, running on stock gears, no need to change pinion gear. It drifts like crazy. 3s Lipo is the way to go for this setup. Got a 3S 5000mA 100C battery. I did have to change motor direction in the programing mode to match forward and reverse on controller. Very pleased with the purchase so far.

Great upgrade

Upgraded my kids aarma granite 4x4 from the brushed version to this brushless set up. Running on 2s lipo even thought it's 3s capable. Lots of torque and power now. Smooth for a non-sensored set up. Truck is much faster now and more controllable in the air from the jumps. We're running on a small backyard course.

Motor and esc upgrade for my traxxas slash

Absolutely love it, was a huge upgrade for my traxxas slash 4x4, only issue was the fan on the esc did not work out of the box. So far no issues overheating but we will see come summer.

Awesome

Bought 2 of these and let me tell you they are awesome. Bought them both for a traxxas slash 2wd and its gives them a lot more power. Ive only used a 2s in it but its says it can do a 3s so ill have to try that, but 2s will make it do wheelies which doesnt get old. Ps a 2s in this and a 2s in the stock version doesnt even compare the brushless system seems to have a lot more torque than the stock brushed version. Would definitely recomend this to anyone who wants more power and speed.

Way more power !

Bought as replacement for the 12t brushed motor in the aarma vorteks boos 4x2 . The difference is night and day , i swapped a bunch of plastic parts for metal ie shocks A arms slipper gear etc. And also added the 4x4 kit but after all that the truck was slow . Finally i got the spektrum motor upgrade and its easily able to shred all 4 tires like it never has before even on 2s lipo . Definitely would buy again this little budget motor has sooo much power ! Edit: almost a month later and this beast motor destroyed the differential gear in my vorteks lol , literally ripped the teeth off the ring gear it has that much power on 3s . Proly shoulda ran it on 2s but it was too much fun .

Quality peice of electronics

The items came in quality packaging and were displayed nicely in the box. Easy to install. Has made a huge difference to the RC car I installed this in replacing a brushed motor. Have used this on NiMh, and 2S and 3S LiPo batteries. All worked well with higher power as expected from larger capacity LiPo. Highly recommend this product as an upgrade if that suits your needs.
