That there is no filter with the coffee pot so really won’t work for only heating water!

Love the pot and color! But no filter can’t use it as a coffee pot for what we wanted to use it for !

Of course there’s no basket!

It’s cheaply made, but I don’t care. It’s fine. I’ll put it on a piece of steel over the fire instead of right on the flames, so it lasts. It’ll get chipped and dented but it’s camping stuff. Last camping trip I made coffee in my dutch oven, and it was fine. Mine came without the top handle- that’s a drag, but I can make one with twisted wire. Great value. I’ll just rinse it out- easy, Not as heat resistant as stainless steel, but for the price, it’s appropriate. The losers who are whining about missing the basket should stay home and use a Keurig.

It was damaged

Works great with a modification and common sense.

This is a great pot. We use it over the stove or open fire to warm/boil water. It is not a coffee pot per say, although you could make “camp” coffee in it of course, or warm any liquid for that matter- soup/stew, etc. I caution you that if it is filled all the way full it will be very messy to pour. We fill it to about 3 inches from the top and pour very slowly at first so it won’t be so messy. It is good quality and preforms as expected. The only downside is that the knob on the lid is so small that it’s really useless. I drilled a hole in it and attached a cast knob (drawer pull) I bought at Hobby Lobby. Now it is pleasant looking and works great. Also, the lid does not have a “catch” so once you tip the pot just so far it will fall off.

Works great

Really works great. I used it to make cowboy coffee for a large event and everyone loved it. The large bottom really absorbs heat fast and had the water boiling in just a few minutes using a camp stove. Check out youtuber Cowboy Kent Rawlings for the recipe on his channel. It tastes better and causes less heartburn than coffee made in a percolator or drip machine plus you can tailor its strength by how long you boil it, if you want weak coffee, just boil it less but stil get the full flavor or boil it longer for some really stout firehouse coffee.

A real Hot water pot/billy

I owned a pot like this years ago (seen on sites as antique!). It is the best for leaving beside the campfire, supplying ample hot water whenever you need it. For some reason all camping outlets in Australia opted for a crappy 4 cup enamelised pot, which to be honest is useless. Thank you Amazon for supplying this. Used it over the last week in the bush.

Needs proper knob on lid

Huge pot makes plenty of coffee, I’m using it to boil cowboy coffee every day. Needs a proper knob on the lid, so it is easier to handle when hot. No other complaints about pot. Seems very well made.

Great size, will be very useful . Quality good
