Missing some features....

The compass seems to function well but I bought it for my basic wilderness survival class and I needed to do mapping with it. It lacks a line in the middle for determine direction. You have to guess what the degree is. I'm going to put it in my camping bag as a back-up but I won't be using it for my class.

Meh

Ordered two, one came broken. The needle doesn't sit level, and the low side rubs against the bottom of its little chamber. No idea how it could have been damaged in shipping, guessing it was a quality control slip up.

LIquid leaked out

It became unusable. Wasn't cracked or abused that I'm aware of. I'll spend a few bucks for a better one next time.

Great deal

We hada wilderness survival "training" for our six grandkids this summer and wanted to get them decent compasses to use. These were perfect. The price was right amd the landyard were an added bonus.

Do Not Buy for Scouts

Not adequate for Scouting. DO NOT buy. It is missing an index line to read your bearing, and a direction of travel arrow. These are key features for map-compass work.
