Sturdy, functional, wish it had other heights

This was cheap and was the perfect size to fit in our chimenea. We set cast iron pans and skillets in the chimenea to cook things like pizza and peach cobbler. I only wish this had a different setting for height. The low one is basically right on top of the fire, and the taller setting is too tall for our chimenea. I wish there was another choice in-between the two or the tall one wasn't quite as tall. I also wish there was an option to detach the legs completely. I want to just sit a couple of bricks in the chimenea and then rest this on top of them, but the legs get in the way so that doesn't work so well. In conclusion, I've used about 6 times or so, it seems very well built, like it will last forever, I just wish it had one or both of my above feature requests.

was I looking for an all around super grill that does everything

I originally just gave it 3 stars, but then I thought to myself, was I looking for an all around super grill that does everything? Yes, but was I expecting that for the price? No. This little guy holds your basic coffee pot, steak, cast iron skillet, whatever over your fire. You just have to be careful where and how you lay those things on top of this. The tallest configuration isn't that sturdy. I really like how small and light this thing is. It doesn't take much room in my car camp box.

This is great for a compact camp grill

This is great for a compact camp grill. It's sturdier than it seemed at first glace and did the job just fine. I wished it was as little taller because it's a little harder to have a hot fire under it. But then the whole thing would need to be bigger and it wouldn't be as compact.

Needs removable legs

The legs make it hard to pack in a backpack. To small for base camp. I cut the legs off and placed it on there rocks with fire in center.

For the price, this product is alright. It's very cheap, and very flimsy. You get what you pay for.

Worked well, but one time use.

We bought this grill for use cooking over a campfire during a recent camping trip and it worked well for cooking shrimp, sausages and burgers. It comes folded in a compact size for easy packing, however once we opened it, we couldn't get it back into that shape. After hours of use, the legs became black and mangled and we ended up throwing it away.

Perfect lightweight grill

This does exactly what is advertised. I use it a lot backpacking as it is lightweight and means I have better food options than freeze dried. I had this exact item previously and it held up for over 15 years of very harsh treatment.
