I use it to protect my I-Pilot touch screen remote for Trolling Motor and Fish Finders
the I-Pilot touch screen remote is waterproof but it doesn't float. considering it's being used on a boat, at $425 I wanted more protection - What good is it if it's waterproof but falls overboard and sinks to the bottom of a lake. This floating strap has no problem keeping the I-Pilot touch screen remote afloat. And it's comfortable when worn around the neck. It's a bit pricey but a lot less expensive than replacing a $425 remote. One small criticism. The strap comes folded flat in thirds which results in it being formed into a U when you first begin using it. I worked out some of the stiffness by hand by bending the strap to make it more pliable. Ultimately it breaks-in and takes on the shape of your neck. But at $35 I think the manufacturer could afford to package it so it conforms to the shape of one's neck without having to break it in by hand and wearing.

Work great. Will work on standard marine without the Clic-Loc.

Maybe not the best for a saltwater, lots of sun location.
It's been 2 years since I purchased this strap to put on a pair of Steiner 10x50 military/marine binoculars and I'm sad to say the strap is shot. The material is faded and frayed and falling apart. To be fair, the strap was used in a salty Caribbean ocean environment, sat in the sun all day long and rarely got washed. I was also not a fan of the hard plastic ends. Every time I would put the binos down the plastic ends would bang off of whatever I sat them down on. The good news about the strap is that the length was comfortable and they did float the binos. So, for use in a true sun drenched, saltwater environment, the strap may need a lot more coddling than I'm prepared to give it. The binoculars still look great though.

Work to float my bulky binocs
Bought these for my old W German 7x50 Steiner Military Marine Binocs with compass. They're pretty bulky and heavy. Attached just like the original strap. Tossed the whole business in my swimming pool and they floated just as they should. The strap gives me confidence that my Binocs aren't headed for Davey Jones' locker if they go overboard on the boat. A little pricey but I forgot about that once I saw them floating in the pool. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Floats the NIKON AW1
Great if you have the AW1 NIKON camera as there is not a camera strap that will float it. These float it easily and since they are yellow can be seen if your camera falls overboard. Very good Quality at a decent price. i only gave it 4 stars so people would read the review- no one reads the 5 star reviews.

Very uncomfortable
Why couldn’t there be a cloth strip at the nape of the neck? It’s soooo uncomfortable we can’t use it.

Not as described.
In the item description it states: DURABLE BINOCULAR ATTACHMENT – Count on Steiner’s own Clic-Loc system for quick, easy removal and reattachment. The item delivered does NOT have the Clic-Loc system. If I had known this was not included I would NOT have purchased it. I can remove the Clic-Loc part from the strap that came with the binoculars, and attach it to the floating strap - but I should not have to cannibalize my strap to get this to fit.

Quality kit
Substantial quality product, very solid construction, does what it says. Only complaint is has not got a quick click on off fastener to binoculars, have to thread strap everytime. Would buy again.
