windproof, highly water resistant.

This is a wonderful Winter hat! kind of snug for a medium head, but the hat is super for windy, wet conditions.

An excellent hat when used for hiking or other active sports where you need protection from sun, wind, cold and rain.

I use the elements hat for snowshoeing in the backcountry in Colorado. It is excellent because it gives you all day sun protection as well as warmth and win protection. The two inch brim is shorter than the brim on a baseball cap, but the eclipse sits lower on my head so I get excellent coverage and protection from the sun. This isn't the warmest hat, but it is excellent when you're moving and generating heat. That said, it is not the most ideal hat for sitting around camp. Still, this hat has performed admirable in severe cold and wind at every elevation. An excellent hat when used for hiking or other active sports where you need protection from sun, wind, cold and rain.
