Great set

We did not use it in the traditional advent calendar way. It was used as a rewards system for our LO. The quality on these is great. They seem like they will last a whole with a toddlers rugged play time. As another person mentioned, cut the tags before you start opening doors. Some are keeping the pieces so securely inside I had to get scissors each time so that I made sure I didn't break the pieces themselves. Really wish Bowser was in this set. It would have made it the absolute perfect end to the calender.

Worth the money

I get my son (6) an advent calendar every year with little toys based on what he's into that year. Mario was his favorite this year so my search began. I'm pretty frugal so the price was a little scary but the positive reviews made me pull the trigger. While my husband helped him open the 21st one today I heard him yell, "this is the best calendar he's gotten yet! " All of the toys are big and really good quality. You can buy toys like this for $5 a piece at stores so for about $2 each this calendar is a real bargain. Every character is in there including bullet bill and bomb bob. My son was even thrilled with the little accessories like a star, coin, and question box. If you have a Mario lover, stop reading reviews and buy now!

Very impressed.

My 3yo is ecstatic to open a door each day, and I’m impressed with the sturdiness of each toy. I even accidentally stepped on flower power with no harm done. I’ve been surprised his excitement with each figurine, even star power and a coin were exciting for him. I did do as another review said and opened the box ahead of time, slid the tray out and snipped all the characters loose so I wouldn’t have to do it each day. I’m excited for Christmas Day to use all these characters with Bowser’ ship and castle. For the reviews that were disappointed the box won’t last, well of course not, it’s cardboard.

Absolutely fantastic quality

We're 6 days into this box and I have to say the quality of the individual figurines is astounding. They're articulated, the paint is perfect, and unlike most items of this nature, they're not using decals for everything. This box is easily worth double what I paid for it. If you're thinking about buying this for any Mario fan, they're going to absolutely love it.

Great value

The majority of figures included would have cost twice what this set costs. Only complaint is that there were duplicates when other characters could have been made part of the set.

Fun Toys

Grandkids enjoyed opening each day and finding a new Mario character. The characters were sturdy and big enough to use in pretend play.
