Works great, but doesn’t stick
These have excellent color / white quality as well as easy dim capabilities. They work great with SmartThings. I only have two complaints: - the plug is a massive box - the adhesive material that comes on the light strips is useless I found a roll of thin 3M adhesion on here that works great to keep the light strips stuck in place. Images: - SmartThings control options - No under cabinet lights - Purple under cabinet lights - Dimmed green under cabinet lights

Nice affordable smart home strip lights.
I stuck these under my workbench, and have them integrated with SmartThings. Once in a while we'll have a power outage that they don't reconnect after, but we have so many smart home devices that do this, knowing which ones to visit, and having a repeatable reconnect experience is acceptable. One neat thing I've done with them is to flash a color when motion is detected on my doorbell. That way if I'm in the garage working on a loud project, I can still know when people are at the door, and that's been a nice touch. Definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Needs better adhesive but good otherwise
The light and range of hues is great. I had to purchase additional adhesive strips to mount under cabinet. Easy to pair but I’ve been having a problem with it unpairing.

Deciding between Hue and Lightify? I went with Lightify - here is why...
I’ve been building custom lights with Hue and Lightify, here a short summary. It’s very close, I’d give Hue 3 stars and Lightify 4 - read on for details. Lightify has a better build quality, option of outdoor for superb build quality, works directly with Wink and SmartThings (better with SmartThings actually). But falls short on the color range and the dimming range... SILVANIA LIGHTIFY PROs: - Better build quality of the actual strip (never had a LED quit on the strip unlike Hue) - For ultimate build quality you can choose outdoor version. - If you use Wink or SmartThings, your light will talk directly to the hub, you don’t need Sylvania hub to control these - Uses broadly available RGBW connectors CONs: - Only one white LED, somewhere around 3300k, so everything warmer is adding red LED and everything cooler adds blue LED – not such a great range of color temperature and not as great CRI. - The lowest intensity is much brighter than Philips, if you desire “sleep” mode, it may not be possible as it still emits a lot of light - Turns to 100% after power outage (you better run it via UPS) PHILIPS HUE PROs: - One cool white and one warm white + RGB led - this creates very high CRI (color rendering index) and much wider range of "white" than Lightify - The dedicated app is a mixed bag, but the concept of “scenes” is very powerful, you can add multiple lights in the room into one theme and manage the color or intensity on one click - The lowest light intensity can be very low, perfect as night light CONs: - Have to have Philips Hub, yet another hub to update and manage even if you are using Wink or SmartThings - Not great build quality. The silicone sleeve is very thin, the adhesive weak. - Longevity questionable, once so often LEDs give up. - No outdoor version. - 24V power supply, may not be a big deal, but if you have 12V line in the house (solar), you can’t use it. - Proprietary and expensive connectors - Turns to 100% after power outage (you better run it via UPS)

Product description details ambiguous
based on the information supplied in the amazon product link: 1.) description contradicts itself with statement " Starter kit includes three 24 inch flexible lightstrips, controller, and power supply." when this is a kit with FOUR (4) sets of Three 24in strips. 2.) The description should specify the quantity of power supplies included. Since this is a 4 set product....its implied that 4 power supplies are included....yes or no? 3.) The Technical details state: Included: 4 flex strips. No mention of any power supplies. You need to update and clarify your descriptions and technical details among other things. I cant make a decision to buy this product if I do not know what I am buying. Especially at >$100.00
