This thermometer unites many thermometer "wants" in one handy product. First, the oversized 1. 0" LCD readout displays the temperature boldly and clearly. Not getting the viewing angle desired? The head of the thermometer pivots and adjusts into multiple angles no bending or twisting or angling to read the temperature. The head also has rubberized accents for enhanced “gripability”. In addition, this handy thermometer features a hold button to "lock" the temperature insert into food being cooked in the oven, press "hold" after a stable reading, then pull the thermometer out of the food. The temperature of the food is "held" in the readout. The benefit? The food does not need to be removed from the oven and thus less heat escapes. Works well

Bought to check the AC temp in my truck. It works well. I only gave it 4 stars because it takes a few minutes to get down to the correct temp. I made the mistake of leaving it in the sun in my truck in Arizona in the summer. You can see where it warped a little bit but still works.

The swivels make it easy to read without having to be Hansel or Gretel sticking your head in the oven

Not immersible but works well.

Very easy to use and read. The only downside is that you must not allow any water to get in the plastic head of the unit. It is not sealed at all so it is easy to let in water when cleaning the probe. However, a few days of air drying will usually bring it back to life.

Great but wish it had a setting to disable auto off.

These are accurate and reliable. I would give five stars if you could set it to not turn off automatically.

Disappointed

I had high hopes for the thermometer because of a recommendation. I've used it twice, once for a turkey breast and once for a rib roast and it never worked properly. When I turn it on It never goes below 60 and pressing the button makes no difference.
