As advertised
Great for measuring the specific gravity of my pottery glaze.

Very nice hydrometer!
I got this hydrometer for measuring very heavy sugar water and later into alcohol where I needed the high SG capacity range of 1.000 to 1.220 to calculate the ABV.....works perfectly! The hydrometer is 11 inches long and the scale is 5 1/2 inches long. The graduations of the scale have a very easy readable resolution of .002 throughout the whole range!! The numbers on the scale are also large enough to easily read as well. What is really nice is the fact that this hydrometer was calibrated by equipment traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)......it means this hydrometer is highly accurate!! I know because I used to work in a calibration facility that performs this activity, and it is costly. Best high capacity and accurate hydrometer I've ever seen, highly recommended!

This is stupid. I operate a craft brewery and need very specific and calibrated final gravity readings. This thing is tiny! The idea behind lab hydrometers is that they are the same size as regular hydrometers but with better and more visible gaps between the points. This isn't any different that any other $15 hydrometer except it is smaller!!! What a total waste of money. GARBAGE!
